Minted Micro Wedding Invitations

Planning a wedding involves many decisions between the bride and groom. The location, guest list, and invitations are all up for discussion when it comes to the big day. My fiancé and I agreed early on that we wanted an intimate wedding that was just immediate family. When we were looking for a wedding venue, we stumbled upon the word Micro wedding which was the perfect way to describe our small celebration.

We decided not to have a wedding party because our guest list is small. My sister’s kids will have a special part on our wedding day. I cannot wait to see them in a little tuxedo and flower girl dress.

Since we don’t have a large number of invitations to send out, we were in search for Micro wedding invitations on Minted.

P.S. You can read about our engagement in Paris here.

Minted Micro Wedding Invitations

Narrowing down the location was one of the hardest parts of our wedding planning. We decided on a destination wedding for our micro wedding. My fiancé and I divided up some of the wedding tasks and I took on working on the wedding invites. Minted has always been a website and brand that I was familiar with but I hadn’t explored it until it was time to choose our invitations.

As a photographer and small business owner, I love that Minted supports independent artists. I was able to narrow down my wedding stationery style with their categories. Minted allows you to print small runs of invitations for intimate weddings which is a great way to be eco-friendly and still get everything you want and need when it comes to your wedding invitations.

Minted offers a free sample kit to test out the printing techniques and different paper options which allows you to experience their quality firsthand. Minted’s full sample kit comes with examples of standard, foil-pressed, and letterpress invitations, plus swatches of their premium paper options, envelop colors, foil colors, and more… You can do this once you select your wedding invitation. There are detailed instructions on the website.

Save the Dates

One part of the wedding invitation process we missed out on was save the date cards. We actually chose a photo from Italy of the two of us which is one of our favorite photos before we were engaged as our “save the date” photo. Then we changed our minds to an adorable sketch of the two of us from an event. But life got busy and we never ended up printing them. Our wedding date is sentimental and I really wish we had done this. Don’t miss out on sending them if you have the chance. Minted has some great options for these with and without photos. I have included some favorites here.

Invitation Suite

Once you select your favorite wedding invitation design from the Minted site, you can explore different options with artists around the globe. The invitation wedding suites made it easy to add additional items to your main invitation. This includes RSVP cards, belly bands, weekend details, direction cards, thank you notes, and dinner menus. The possibilities are endless with the great options available through Minted.

If you want to add an additional piece to your wedding suite, you can add a reception card with details of the reception party. Here are a few reception card idea styles that I love.

Your wedding stationery will all have the same font and style as your wedding invitation to make the whole event more cohesive. You basically get to decide on the branding and style of your wedding!

My fiancé and I decided early on that we weren’t going to have an accent color for our wedding. Our wedding invitation is simple and elegant with black font. Our floral design is white with a little greenery and I like the simplicity of it all.

Customizing Your Invitation

Before finalizing your wedding invitation details. You will want to make sure you have everything in line for the big day in terms of the wedding date, location, and dress code. Everyone has their own unique wedding style which makes Minted so wonderful because of all their customization options. The type of paper, colors, and fonts are all part of their customization process. It is easy to try out different options and see what works best for you.

You can even do an envelope liner which is a fun way to incorporate your wedding colors. We used the Everlasting Love invitation design.

There are plenty of ways to customize your invitation wording to make it the best for you. You can add each set of parents to the invitation or just include you and your groom’s name. Minted offers a helpful guide on invitation wording which came in handy when making our own invitations.

Minted Micro Wedding RSVP Card

The RSVP card can be customized for the wedding weekend or for just the wedding date. We are making a weekend event out of our destination wedding. Here are some RSVP card options in different sizes.

Minted Favor Stickers

My mom introduced me to Jordan almonds when we did my sister’s wedding. I purchased white Jordan almonds and small favor bags online. We were able to personalize the favor bags with stickers and put a handful of almonds inside each one for a sweet gesture.

Proof Process

Minted does a great job of communicating the printing and shipping of your order and when you should expect your wedding invitations. I made the simple mistake of choosing the wrong shipping method. I was able to reach a Minted representative on the phone quickly to make the change. At the same time, I pulled up my order online and was able to adjust the shipping address and shipping method directly on the Minted website.

I love seeing the email in your inbox with the good news that your order has shipped! My order arrived earlier than expected. The invitations were all wrapped in tissue paper and there were special instructions for each individual piece to put the wedding suite together.

Putting The Invitations Together

I decided to add the detail of a belly band to our wedding suite. This was done in black with white writing. The belly bands came along with detailed instructions on how to layer our invitation and secure the belly band with clear stickers.

We are sealing the envelopes with these adorable love wax seals in a pop of pink. It was the only color I added to the invitation. I wanted the invitation to stand out in the mail for all of our special guests.
