Welcome to the my French home away from home. A place where I share all thing Paris to take with you wherever you are.
In 2008, Rebecca Plotnick found herself laid off and out of a job. A self-taught photographer, she decided to create an Etsy shop featuring her work and quickly found that her photographs of Paris were most popular with her customers. With this in mind, Rebecca decided to head to the City of Lights in 2009, camera in hand. She hit the cobblestone streets, picking up tips from her favorite local restaurant and immersing herself in the sights and sounds. Between taking photographs of landmarks and daily activities, she began learning the French language and fell deeply in love with the nuances of the culture that speaks it.
After arriving home, Rebecca launched a wildly successful online photography print shop that offered captivating pictures of Parisian streets, landmarks, and day-to-day details. In 2013, she decided to pack up all her belongings and left Chicago for what would become a nomadic way of living for two years between the United States and France.

Everyday Parisian was founded in 2016 as a result of this desire to meld the French lifestyle with American surroundings and to create a community with a shared love for Paris. It aims to highlight the fun and new ways to “frenchify” daily life, offers travel recommendations, shares fashion inspiration, and much more. Every Sunday, people around the world join in with coffee and croissants in hand for “Links I Love”, a weekly collection of Rebecca’s favorite articles centering on fashion, Parisian news, recipes, health, and well-being.
Rebecca’s photographic work has been featured by Pottery Barn for the past decade and has recently been acquired by Ikea. She wears many hats: entrepreneur, photographer, blogger, avid home baker, and globe trotter. She adores her dog, Henri, and enjoys running The Print Shop full-time while sharing insider tips for Paris with her beloved community. Today, the Everyday Parisian family is 50,000 strong and still growing.

My dog Henri is my sidekick. He is a mini Bernedoodle and goes just about everywhere with me.
This was the balcony in my first apartment in Montmartre. Chicago is where I call home now but Montmartre will always have a special place in my heart.
My go to coffee order is a flat white. I love bringing back coffee beans from my travels. It is a great way to extend my trip once I am home.
Baking is my love language. On the weekends, it is how I unplug. It brings me a lot of joy to cook and bake for friends and family.
I love buying flowers for myself. It is my weekly ritual to pick up a bouquet at a local flower shop or market. Peonies, ranunculus, and hydrangeas are my favorites.
