I started the tradition of an advent calendar roundup a few years ago and each year the trend has grown bigger. I have dug through multiple sites to bring you my 20 favorite advent calendars for 2022. They do sell quickly and some of my favorites are already sold out.
Traditionally, the advent calendar served as a countdown for the holiday season starting on December 1 – December 24th. On each day, behind a flap or a door, you are rewarded with a sweet treat or small gift. On the 24th, the treat is larger in celebration of the big day on Christmas eve.
A classic advent calendar is made out of wood and can be refilled with holiday gifts each year it’s a festive countdown celebration.
You can easily find them at grocery stores, Costco, and Trader Joe’s sells a version for dogs that looks adorable and sells out quickly. The major department stores sell them along with Williams Sonoma, and Amazon.
The brands have really gone all out with expanding the category of Advent Calendars. There are some for tea lovers, wine lovers, beauty lovers, and chocolate lovers.
This is a huge category for beauty brands for fun ways to share their best-selling products through an advent calendar or introduce new customers to their products.
For the candle lover who enjoys the scents of Christmas. This 12 days of Christmas advent calendar contains a variety of candles with different holiday variations to turn any night into a festive one.
The Diptyque Advent Calendar is one of the best in my personal opinion. There are some great full-size products, perfumes, lotions, and candles inside. I have had this on my wish list for years. It is over $400 and definitely a splurge item.
The best of L’Occitane Skincare includes mini beauty products of this classic French beauty brand. These are great for traveling to keep in your Dopp kit for overnight trips.
Bonne Maman Jam Calendar is filled with flavored classic jams and unique flavor combinations. I ordered this one last year and really enjoyed the surprise flavors each day to upgrade my breakfast toast. This is a classic French brand of jam that you will find all over France at grocery stores. This one is under $40 and sells out every year. It goes on sale earlier than any other advent calendar and will sell out the fastest.
Vosges Chocolate was inspired by Place des Vosges in Paris and is a female-owned company based in Chicago. They put out a great chocolate advent calendar filled with delicious chocolates and treats each year. The calendar also offers a refill so if you purchase the large advent you can keep the box and refill the chocolate each year.
The 12 Days of Cocoa advent calendar is perfect for children or someone with a sweet tooth. You can order a single set or a double set if you have kids or a family. The set comes with a variety of different flavored cocoas.
The Angelina Advent calendar is always such a challenge to find and it sells out quickly. If you aren’t familiar with the brand Angelina, they are famous for their hot chocolate in Paris.
This giant advent calendar is filled with French milk chocolate and dark chocolate treats from the brand Le Chocolat des Français for under $50
For the baker or to do as a family with kids. 24 days of cookies. Each day of this advent calendar has adorable and festive cooking or baking accessory.
I don’t celebrate the Christmas holiday religiously but I love the traditions the holiday brings. I typically pick up a day of tea advent calendar from either Palais des Thés or Damaan Frères advent. Both are French brands that have a great advent calendar each year with a variety of specialty teas.
Another favorite French tea brand is Kusmi tea. This advent calendar is $50 and filled with a variety of holiday-flavored and classic teas.
George and Viv Refillable Grand Hotel Advent Calendar can be filled with anything your heart desires. For the little ones, add tiny treats and toys. For adults, add nail polish, mini products, and chocolate treats.

You don’t need to spend a lot of money to have a great advent calendar. Some of the brands really go all out with over-the-top advent calendars which are a luxurious splurge.
