Holiday Home Decor
The holiday season is quickly approaching and I cannot wait. This also happens to be my busy season at work so I never feel like I can enjoy the holidays entirely. I like to get a jump start on decorating and Christmas music. Traditionally people put out holiday decorations as soon as Halloween is over but you can start as early as you want. I put this post together to round up some of my favorite holiday home decor items to get you into the holiday spirit.
Holiday Home Decor 2022 Gift Guide
You don’t have to celebrate Christmas to soak up the holiday cheer that comes with the season. I have included Christmas decorations along with some festive holiday decorations including entertaining dishes. I also love the tradition of bringing back something year after year that is sentimental. Our wedding date is in December and I would love to have something we bring out every year for the holidays that we receive as a gift to remind us of our special day.
Holiday Plates and Cups
This holiday in the city dessert plate comes in a variety of cities including Paris and London. I own the Paris plate from a few years ago. These are fun to break out for holiday or Christmas dessert time with the family or while entertaining guests. You can mix and match the cities or get a set of all the same.
Holiday in the city mugs matches the above dessert plates. The Paris mug sells out quickly. So now is your heads up. These are fun for Christmas tea or hot chocolate. I expect the London one to sell fast.
These Paris salad plates are a splurge item for sure but perhaps something to add to the registry. There are 6 in all and they cover a variety of Paris monuments.
Holiday skier salad plates. My fiancé loves to ski and I am still learning. These would be great to have out all winter long.
Christmas Wreaths and Trees
This pre lit Christmas tree is ready to go with ornaments. Now that we have a dog, I can’t imagine the destruction that could happen with a real tree.
Pre-lit faux pine garland. If you are going to go the faux route, this one is great for the mantle. I love the smell of pine but the needles can be a challenge to keep clean.
Bright and merry doormat and also a festive Happy Channukah doormat
Holiday Decor
George and Viv light up stores and town for your mantle. This reminds me of a modern version of the ceramic houses my mom had when I was a kid. They take batteries and would be so adorable to collect.
Chunky wool stocking. My first choice would be an initial stocking but these are pretty cute from Anthropologie.
Sculpted Raindeer log holder, this is a splurge purchase but something fun and festive to put out during the holiday season for years to come if you have a fireplace.
Speaking of stockings, this dog bone-shaped one is perfect for Henri or your own dog. You can monogram it too!
Mercury candle holders. These come in gold and silver. West Elm has had them as a staple piece of their collection for years and they look beautiful all lit up.
This olive and myrtle garland smells fragrant and is festive for your mantle or covered outdoor space.
A snow globe candle is a two in one decor item with the scent of the holidays and a little festive scene for the tabletop.
These decorative paper trees are a personal favorite of mine. The multi colored pack is my top choice. I have used these in the past for making a festive table for the holidays. They fold down and you can stack them for easy storage at the end of the holiday.
Rustic metal ice bucket for your holiday party. Just add your favorite bottle of bubbly.
