Links I Love Week 20
Happy Sunday! This week started with site edits. I am working on some changes for the EDP site, and it has been a lot of fun learning the new features. Stay tuned for an official date for the new look. For those in Chicago, the Wells Street Art Festival is June 8/9th. It is a big weekend in the city, and the Lincoln Park/Gold Coast/Old Town neighborhoods are buzzing with energy. I don’t get my booth number until a day or two before, and I will be sure to let you know where to find me.

I ordered this dress for $98, and I am obsessed. The small size fits great, and I ordered the off-white color and paired it with a nude brown sandal. Plus, it has pockets. You can see it on me here.
I wore this packable hat all last summer, and they brought it back in more colors for this year. It is an excellent vacation hat, and the price is great for the quality.

Bonjour, Rebecca! So many great items in your post this Sunday, including the apéro article, the fun baguette stamps, and that brilliant J. Crew dress, which also comes in black and is high on my wish list! Such a great design — simple, yet chic — and surprisingly affordable. Happily, it’s shaping up to be a banner year for great summer dresses across the boards.
Thank you, Alexandra! I hope you snatch up that black J.Crew dress. It is so cute on and a great price, it is sure to sell out.
Have a great week! xo
What irks me about Bobbi Brown and merit and other lines that are catering to the older crowd is – no sunscreen in their lines. Bobbi’s especially is a problem because how will the miracle balm going to work with sunscreen – to use a technical term, am I going to have a “gunky” mess on my face? I’ve been hesitant to try her new line because of the mixed reviews it (miricale balm) gets and so much of this “new” line is so similar to her Estée Lauder/ Bobbi Brown line that I’ve used for years and it does carry sunscreen. I’m in the desert where sunscreen and hats are necessary ;it’s a sensitive subject for me as a coworker had a spot on the tip of her nose that had to be addressed, she was so self conscious because in her mind it was so noticeable she was self conscious (it wasn’t). Excellent dermatologist! Just seems like a no brainer to incorporate a sunscreen of at least 30 into your line.
Thanks for the hat recommendation always looking for new ones to add to my collection.
Hello! I appreciate your concern about sun health and safety. I often talk about sunscreen and find it is important to wear it daily and to reapply. From what I have discussed with some beauty lines is adding in an SPF messes with the formulation. It is best to have it as a separate application and incorporate it into your skincare routine. Elta MD and Iris and Romeo weekend skin are two of my favorites. xo
LOVE the article on the history of winemaking in Paris – adding a visit to the to-do list!
Thank you, Elly! I am happy to hear you enjoyed the article. Keep me posted if you make it to Montmartre on your next visit.
