Week 10 Year 2024

This week flew by! It felt like Thursday approached with lightning speed. A lot is going on with work and planning a few trips later this month. Travel picks up again next weekend. I had my first eye exam in a few years and got a prescription for readers. (it happens at age 40…) It is just a tiny prescription now, and I don’t need them, but the doctor says one day I will wake up and want them. I must check out Warby Parker since I am only a .5 and limited on options. Right now, I ordered these, which should be here soon. (please don’t comment with horror stories; I have heard enough!)

I worked on my next Paris itinerary. Next week, the 3-day spring itinerary will be for sale in The Print Shop. It is a breakdown of a weekend in Paris to experience Paris during the spring and enjoy the blossom season to the fullest. I am also including a rainy-day itinerary day as a bonus.

At Pilates this week, I overheard a conversation saying Miley Cyrus was big into Pilates. I had to look it up for myself. In case you are curious about her workout routine. It isn’t just all Pilates.

I ran into my neighbor Monday night, and she asked for dinner inspiration. We both made this noodle dish with these dumplings. So good and very flavorful.

I finally decided on this black dress! You can see how I styled it here. I am lucky Yulia grabbed these photos of me at home the week before our event.

Spanx sent me a few items to try, and I am obsessed with these pants. I immediately put them on and didn’t want to take them off. Dare I say they are cute and comfortable enough to fly in and arrive looking good when you land? I will report back 😉 I wear a small, 5’6” in height, for reference. They gave me a code for 10% off using EDPXSPANX at checkout.

Gwenyth Paltrow on becoming a stepmom: “It’s almost like you have to embody the spirit of the sun and just give and not expect anything back.”I just learned to try to just keep shining like the sun and never keeping score.” I loved this article and regretted not telling my stepdad thank you for putting up with me during my teenage years. He passed away last year.

I recently introduced my sister to Sézane; she now sends me items she loves on the regular. I bought her this dress, which would look so cute on her as a birthday gift. The package arrived, and now she is begging for the perfume. If you have ever received a box from Sézane, you know the packaging is next-level good.

  1. When I found copper eyeglass frames about 8 years ago, it was FINALLY! My glasses are a fashion statement. I think I look better with them than without glasses.

  2. We both got new glasses at Warbey Parker. We both are very happy with them. They also run a deal where a second pair is discounted.
And welcome to the readers club!

    • Thank you, Patti! Can’t wait to try them out and see the difference they make. I am sure I will have more readers to order in the future 🙂

  3. I would certainly try the crookie but I suspect like most things in life, we will grow tired of the fad and return to the our first love – the original croissant.

    • I am curious to try it but maybe after the lines die down a bit. I don’t know if it could top a warm croissant! 😉

  4. Don’t think of glasses as horror stories! Think of them as a fabulous new way to accessorise. I love choosing new glasses.

    • Thank you, Fiona! I hope so. It was fun picking them out with my husband and I will try to look at them as a new accessory.
