What Parisians Are Wearing Now: Spring 2025

One of my favorite posts to write after a trip to Paris is about all the French style and fashion trends I spotted. What Parisians are wearing now, spring 2025. As I mentioned before, this trip was a mixed bag of weather. We started with beautiful summer weather that transitioned into cooler weather. I typically park myself at a favorite café; this time, I was drawn to Café Bonaparte. It was about a 10-minute walk from my hotel, and I found myself here multiple times daily. The city’s energy in May was electric, and the days were long, with a sunset around 9:30 pm, making the days full. I have tried to find sources for these trends at retailers so you can add these styles to your wardrobe.

Do you have any favorite styles spotted on your Paris trip? I would love to know if you also make style notes while traveling to different cities.

Straight-Leg Jeans

Other styles for pants included high-waisted trousers and wide-leg pants.

Ballet Flats: What Parisians are Wearing Now

I loved this midi skirt paired with ballet flats for a Sunday in Paris.

Trench Coats

Trench coats continue to trend in Paris. Sézane makes the classic Clyde trench, which is popular and a style I own. I also spotted a few people wearing clogs at Luxembourg Gardens and cafés.

Large Sunglasses for Spring/Summer

For sunny days, oversized sunglasses were trending around the city of light. Izipizi, Rendel, and Jimmy Fairly are all popular brands.

Silk Scarf

I saw on repeat the classic French look of white jeans paired with a sweater over the shoulders and white paired with white for a monochromatic look.

Midi Skirts

I love the midi skirt trend paired with a T-shirt, belt, or blouse. Pair with flats or sandals.

Crossbody Bags

Crossbody bags have been a classic Parisian trend for years. APC, Sézane, Celine, and more are popular brands you will spot in Paris.

Crossbody bags were still a big accessory trend, especially in classic black.

Woven Shoes and Bags: What Parisians Are Wearing Now, Spring 2025

I spotted the woven trend in the windows of Parisian shops for handbags and flats.

Fanny Packs

Rive Droite is one of the most popular brands for the French banana bag. There is a free-standing store by Palais Royal, or you can find them offered at department stores like Galeries Lafayette or BHV. I own this style in red and always wear it for walks with Henri.

Dresses with Belts

I was asked on Instagram for her dress style, but I just snapped this in passing. The bag is Polène, and she is wearing espadrilles and stacked bracelets—so well styled!

This woman was my favorite and won best dressed in Paris.

I spotted a key trend in Paris: printed dresses, which included florals, polka dots, and long dresses with belts.

Oversized Blazers

For an effortless look, wear belts with jeans, a classic T-shirt and sneakers, or a pair of flats with an oversized blazer.

I found multiple Parisian women wearing blazers over their shoulders as a key part of their Paris outfits.

Sneakers for Spring and Summer

Vejas and Sambas were seen on the streets of Paris. Comfortable walking shoes are key for moving around the city.

Flat Leather Sandals

Flat leather sandals were paired with short and long dresses on warmer days. For dresses and skirts on warmer days, flat leather sandals are ideal for walking around Paris. Make sure they are comfortable for a good stretch of walking.

Tights with Shorts

Tights with shorts are a classic, trendy style I saw throughout Paris.

Women often ask how their husbands, boyfriends, or partners should dress for Paris. Here are a few photos for inspiration as you pack or shop for an upcoming trip.

  1. I will be off on my very first (yes, really!) trip to Paris, next week… so it’s very cool to see something so timely (and helpful)! Merci beaucoup. 🙂
