Valentine’s Day Gift Guide

Valentine’s Day is a month away. To help prepare for shopping and ideas I put together this guide. I included a gift guide for her and for him. I hope you find something for the special person in your life.

When it comes to Valentine’s Day, I have always looked at is a celebration of love. My niece and nephew are my forever Valentine’s and I always send them a little care package. I bought Emma and me matching heart pajamas (via Lake which are now sold out) and I will send them along with a box of Auntie cookies with pink and red sprinkles. The pink and red get me through the dark and grey days of January.

In Paris, Valentine’s Day is more of an American commercial holiday. They are just starting to get into it along with Halloween but it is not big like it is in the US.

Do you have any favorite Valentine’s traditions or do you skip over the holiday?

I love good matching pajamas. I grabbed these from Lake so Emma and I could match. They sold out most of the variations but these are still available. I hope they restock them.

I love Sommailier for French wine. It’s a small business that supports other small independent wineries in France. Everything is hand-picked and delivered right to your door. I have had a few shipments over the last couple of months. You can choose from red/white or a combination. Each wine is delivered with a card that details the wine, where it is from and pairing options.

These champagne coupes are so fun and festive. I love the timeless look and you can use them for years to come. Add a bottle of champagne to the package if you have the budget.

For your Galentine, this Caudalie hydration set is under $50 and is a great way to try different products in the line. This is a favorite French skincare brand.

Urban Stems bouquet. I always say YES to fresh flowers. This bouquet is beautiful and I would be happy to receive this. I have ordered from Urban Stems before for a gift and the recipient was very happy with the delivery. My aunt and uncle sent an Ode a La Rose box for my birthday last year which was lovely. Also, try local florists in your area if they don’t need to be mailed. Trader Joe’s has great flowers too if you don’t have the budget to send something big or expensive.

If you are going for jewelry, I love Monica Vinader. I have several pieces from the brand and I continue to add them to my collection. Every year, I add one or two pieces. Most recently, I added this ring and this bracelet. My everyday necklaces (this one and this one) are from Monica Vinader. You can personalize pieces with the option of engraving a special date, word, or phrase. I have a code from the brand you can use for 20% off REBECCA20 at checkout.

I love the Diptyque rose candle. It is one of my go-to gifts for girlfriends. The Diptyque Paris candle has become a favorite scent. It sells out quickly so if you see it in stock, grab it!

Give the gift of sleep and better skin. I swear by this sleep mask from Sisley especially during colder months and for flying. It is so hydrating and it smells divine!

Best French Forever Box This small business delivers the South of France in a box! From recipes to beauty and home products, you will love this curated gift for the Francophile.

Maison storage bath cady. This was part of my Frenchify your Bathroom post and it was an instant bestseller. If I had a bathtub, this would definitely be part of it. I love the try for a book and candle.

Staub Dutch Oven One of my favorite things of 2021. I bought it as a gift to myself in 2020 and it was one of my most used kitchen items. If you have someone that loves to cook, this is the gift. You will be happy you made the investment.

Masterclass. I am in my second year as a member. It gets better every month as they add new teachers and topics. I gifted this to Alyssa last year for Christmas.

Cuyana travel bag. I can’t leave home without this. I have been using mine for years and love them. It also makes a great wedding/engagement gift with initials. I use one for makeup and one for skincare.

Heart Apron for adults and kids. For you and your mini-me. I would love this for me and my niece and nephew. They love helping in the kitchen.

Fresh baked croissants. You can order from a few places on this site. I chose Ceci-Cela since I have had them in NYC and loved them. You are supporting a small business at the same time. It’s a Francophile dream to wake up to the smell of fresh croissants baking. The smell will fill the whole house.

Breville coffee maker. I purchased this at the end of last year and we are big fans. We have saved so much money by not getting coffee out and it is delicious and fresh when we wake up. We can schedule it for a specific time in the morning.

Lip Scrub Set. For the dry winter months, this is perfect for keeping your lips hydrated and kissable.

Penhaligon’s perfume. I fell in love with this brand years ago when I was in Paris. I bought a fragrance that I made my signature fragrance and wore on all my first dates. (there were a lot) They discontinued the fragrance and I haven’t been able to find anything I loved as much until this new rose scent. It smells so good throughout the day.

P.S. If you are in the market for lingerie. This post will be helpful.

For Him:

I always find guys a challenge to shop for. These are some of the favorite items I have come across in the last few years that have been a hit.

Vuori. The brand in general has been a great hit for him and her. I have a few of their workout pieces and lounge pants. For him, these shorts (and these), and these pants are winners.

Solo Stove. My fiancé had this in March 2020 and it has kept us going the last couple of years. We invite friends and neighbors over outside to keep warm, for a cocktail, and catch up. We have a medium size. I don’t know what we would have done without this.

Mini ihome speaker. The price point is great and the speaker fills a room with sound. For his home office or mancave. To listen to sports, podcasts, or music.

Drinking French. A great cocktail/drink book for recipes and the history behind them. A great addition to his bar cart.

Monogrammed Forged Steak Brand for the grill master.

Longchamp Dopp Kit. For travel and keeping his grooming items all in one place. A similar version of this was one of my Nordstrom best sellers last year before it sold out.

Kiehl’s Facial Fuel Starter Kit My dad swears by this. He asks for it every single year.

Digital Picture Frame This was part of my holiday gift guide and it was a hit. We have one at home and just gifted one filled with pictures to family. This is such a great gift for anyone who loves personal photos. I need to order one for my dad.

Men’s slippers. This is what Henri got his dad last year and he loves them. So comfortable and cozy to keep warm around the house.
