Francophile Valentine’s Day Gifts
I have a love/hate relationship with Valentine’s Day. I have been single for years and honestly, I feel like each year it gets worse when you have a reminder that you just haven’t found love yet. But on the flip side of things, I love all things hearts and pink and red. A few years ago, I decided to make my niece and nephew my forever Valentine’s and I send my friends cards and little gifts on the holiday. It makes it less about the focus on being single or not single and more about the love that you have for the people in your life. I get so much joy putting together these packages each year. I hope that Bobby and Emma grow up knowing they are loved and they look forward to Valentine’s Day each year.
If you are single, or taken here are a few gift ideas for Valentine’s Day. Feel free to treat yourself to these too!
You can’t go wrong with a Diptyque candle. They have a special edition Rose one that smells heavenly. It is on my wish list.
Paper Source wins for the cutest Valentine’s Day cards and accessories. I teared up reading some of the cards they had for sale.
These Valentine’s Day Heart plates with French phrases are so cute. I saw them in Sur La Table in person and I flipped out. I have to have them!
By now you know I love everything from Cuyana! Their motto is “Fewer Better Things” I have had their top zip tote for almost four years and use it daily. Their products are my favorite to gift! This jewelry case makes a great Valentine’s Day present. My friend Tammy got me a similar one from Sézane that sold out over the holidays. I use it all the time.
Create a cozy spa day at home with a few French beauty products and a warm robe.
For the girl that loves French Beauty. This is a great value set from Caudalie which is great for dry Winter skin.
I started with the Cerise color in 2019 and this would make a fun addition to my collection. I love all the fun colors they release every year from Le Creuset and they are hand-painted in a factory in France.
Bonne Maman released a limited edition Ten Ways to Say I Love You set for $15.99. Their advent calendar sold out so fast earlier this year and they didn’t restock it. This is a great gift under $20.
If you haven’t noticed already, I am a huge fan of Sézane. My favorite sweaters from my closet are from them. I really wanted the Chuck sweater but they were sold out when I was in Paris. It is back in stock. I wear a size Small. Just use Woolite to wash them and you can keep them for years.
If you are someone that values experiences over things, I have got you covered. I think a cooking class makes an excellent gift idea. Sur La Table has some great options and they even have French-themed cooking nights.
Chocolate is my love language so I couldn’t do a roundup of gift ideas without including at least one box. Maison du Chocolat is available in the US (finally) and their praliné dark chocolate is my favorite.
