Hot Chocolate Recipe

When the weather turns cold, I crave hot chocolate. I need at least one peppermint hot chocolate around Christmas. My first trip to Paris was in February and my friends and I were on the hunt for Angelina hot chocolate. This was way before google maps and it was written in all the guidebooks. We spent an afternoon at the Louvre and knew we were close but we never found it. Now I know it is just across the street on Rue Rivoli. If you can’t make it to Paris, you can transport yourself with this hot chocolate recipe.

Angelina hot chocolate is an experience and it is extremely rich. I highly recommend going once to try it. There is a takeaway option outside, but I prefer dining inside. There are a lot of Angelina locations now outside of the Louvre location and you can even find it in Versailles. They have an NYC location now as well.

If you can’t make it to Paris, you can make this hot chocolate recipe at home in just a few minutes with a few ingredients. This hot chocolate transported me back to Paris in one sip. It is rich, feel free to make modifications based on your preferences.

  1. I could have sworn in the reel you added something, it looked like sweetener, to the chocolate and milk on the stovetop. I’m in the middle of Dry January so thinking I might want to give hot chocolate a try ❤️

    • Hi! I added one teaspoon of sugar I think to the chocolate and milk on the stovetop. I hope you give this a try!
