Links I Love Week 28
It has been a lovely weekend on Cape Anne. We got caught in the rain on our morning walk on a rainy Saturday morning. I finished one of the books as part of my summer reading list. We spent time with family for a nice dinner, and tomorrow, we will go on a boat date with friends. The time here is going way too fast, and I still have a lot I would love to do. We passed a few antique shops on Friday, and I still want to find an entry piece for our home.
Bastille Day is today! Are you doing anything fun to celebrate? I am working on a French-themed party for later this month.

What is the Paris syndrome. It’s an interesting article and maybe something you have experienced.
On our drive to Boston, we listened to “The Housemaid’s Secret.” I have also read “Sometimes I Lie” by the same author. It is creative writing, and you will be guessing to the end.
The Devil Wears Prada is getting a sequel 18 years later. Now I have to go rewatch the first one.

Away just launched soft suitcases. They have taken the original suitcase and added some incredible new features. I have been a fan of the brand for years and love how they improve their products through key features and customer feedback.

I initially missed this Staub piece in my Nordstrom Roundup. We have the white version. I wish I had gone with the black because the white gets so dirty. We use it all the time and love it. The next time you see this price, it is around the holidays.
Michigan Ave is getting an independent black/female-owned bookstore! This will be Semicolon’s third location. If you aren’t familiar with Chicago, Michigan Ave is our main street in the downtown area. It has a ton of foot traffic and mostly big box retailers.

Hi Rebecca,
I bought three prints at the Wells Festival and absolutely love them! I am also enjoying the IKEA print you gave me! Thank you again for that! You mentioned you made improvements to to your website and I just wanted to let you know as I was scrolling through this morning’s email there were multiple blank spaces and multiple ads for Vivaia shoes, Mayo Clinic and others. It was not a smooth read like your normal links! Just wanted to let you know.
I’m racing through Abby Jimenez’s latest book “Just for the Summer” it’s outstanding I’ve read everyone of her books and they are all amazing. I needed a break from the new Madoff book by Richard Behar a true sociopath, the destruction he brought to his own family is truly horrible.
If you are looking for another audio book series I can’t recommend Colleen Cambridge series An American in Paris based on a fictional relationship between Julia Child and an American woman with a French family on her mother’s side and her father is an American detective. The narration is terrific and the characters are wonderful, this series has made want to learn more about the French occupation (I was a history major is college).
I love my Staub pieces and agree the darker colors are easier to clean. Food52 does a sale a few times a year on Staub pieces and it’s a terrific site I bought my 4 quart through them and love the size for two people with left overs.
Please share photos of Henri at the beach there’s nothing better than our pups. Oliver loves cuddling on the coach on Sundays while we are enjoying your newsletter! Enjoy your time at the beach, safe travels.
Hi!
Thank you so much for the great book and audio book recommendations. The audio book about Julia Child sounds really interesting.
I appreciate the tip on the Food 52 sale for Staub.
My phone cracked on one of the first days and isn’t working properly. I will see if my husband can grab a photo of Henri on the beach this morning 🙂 We have a good morning walk and he is loving it.
Lots of love to your Oliver and thank you for reading Sunday links! xo
