This week, Henri and I filmed our video with Beaujolais. It was so fun I was able to share some of my daily French-inspired life. I can’t wait to share the video with you. Henri did a great job and he was a natural on camera.

This weekend is the annual Old Town Art Festival in Chicago. I usually participate in the Wells Street Art Festival which was postponed until August. The two festivals run at the same time and it always draws a big crowd. The weather is absolutely perfect and a great way to celebrate the reopening of the city. I mentioned a SALE in The Print Shop last week which is running until the end of the weekend. You can use code SUMMER at checkout for 25% off prints.

I didn’t cook or bake too much this week at all with the craziness of the video I had too much on my plate. I did make madeleines for the video and since my oven is different in my new place vs my old, I needed to perfect them again with timing and temperatures. This meant I went through a lot of butter! I was able to make multiple batches and really make them perfect. I had the extra batter in the fridge from the shoot and when it rained on Saturday, I was able to welcome friends into my kitchen for a warm madeleine out of the oven. There is nothing better than that! This is the recipe I used.

Now that Summer is here and I am being more social outside without a mask. I am back to wearing my signature Summer color. This poppy color was a little out of my comfort zone but I ended up loving it.
