Links I Love Week 30 Year 2024
Happy Sunday! I am writing this while I watch the Olympics in Paris. Seeing my favorite city on display for such an amazing world event is pretty surreal. Celine Dion had me in tears on Friday afternoon. What event are you most looking forward to? I can’t wait to see gymnastics. Go, Team USA! The Olympics are, of course, a hot topic this week in the news and links.

Grab your coffee and croissants, and join me for links I love.
I made Madeleines (recipe here) this week and shared them with friends and neighbors. I added blueberries and raspberries for the Olympics, which made them even better. More on how to Frenchify your Olympic viewing party here.
The feel good story of the week and one that brought me to tears. Supporting small businesses is so important. I run my own and know there are ups and downs and it is never easy. I love how not only did this video bring new light to this small business but he made a donation and gave a tip. I hope more people follow his behavior and this catches on. Of course I cried after watching this and I swore I wasn’t going to.
Celine Dion did an incredible performance at the opening ceremony for the Olympics.
How to Cook and Eat Like You Are at the Paris Olympics
A Petite Parisian-Inspired Townhouse Transformation
I love listening to the Calm app before bed. It is one of my favorite ways to fall asleep at night. There are a lot of fun sleep stories, including travel experiences. I need to do a roundup of my favorite sleep stories on Calm. When chatting with stressed or overwhelmed friends, I recommend the Calm app. They now have a Paris on the Seine one for the Olympics. It is a meditative, calming story that should put you to sleep before the end. I paid for the service and have this link to share Calm for 30 days. (I get nothing in return. Just knowing I am helping someone makes me feel good!)
Oregano has health benefits. I will admit I used to hate oregano and avoid it. Now, I enjoy it and love to add it to my cooking.
Sézane fall arrivals start this Sunday. I ordered this cardigan, this bag in green (wow!) and this shirt for transitional weather.
This sizing guide will help if you are new to the brand.
How To Feel Safe In Your Own Summer Body
I bought this leave-in conditioner on a whim while shopping Credo. It arrived this week, and I love it. The product smells so good and instantly calmed down my summer frizzy air-dried hair to bouncy waves.
This week’s Best Sellers include two great Tuckernuck pieces, a new serum I recently discovered, and a classic Frank and Eileen dress.
My J.Crew espadrilles are on sale! I ordered them after Italy in the cream. Run tts
Celine Dion Goes On via The New Yorker
I love Erin French of The Lost Kitchen. This is a podcast episode about her new show and cooking inspiration via Cherry Bombe. I can’t wait to listen.
My white denim kickout crop jeans from Madewell are on sale 50% off using the code SUMMER40.
How to start journaling. I am a huge fan of journaling and find it an important practice for all ages.
Spanx Leggings are on sale through their website and for the Nordstrom sale. I just got a pair and can’t wait to wear them with an oversized sweater and ballet flats this fall. I ordered a small one and would size it up to a medium.
My Pilates teacher shared this brand of clean sunscreen and bug repellent. I ordered these mosquito bite patches and bug repellent wipes to fit into my bag for a night out. These would have been so helpful in Rockport.
The end of the Nordstrom sale is coming. I recommend restocking your bra drawer. They have great prices on bras, including this strapless bra that sells out every year.
Things you should never put in the dishwasher
I started using this dark spot/ anti-aging serum and instantly noticed a change in my skin. The brand gifted it to me, but I will be buying it myself once my bottle runs out.
The plain croissant is still the best croissant
Why the Paris summer Olympics are already an expensive nightmare for residents and tourists
I still have an active code for Frank and Eileen! They changed it to SUMMER50 for $50 off at checkout. One-time use only. It will end soon, so don’t miss out.

I can’t wait to make this zucchini bread this Sunday. This recipe was a favorite last year, and I have been waiting for this season.
The economics of hosting the Olympics. The focus has been so much on the grand picture it has hurt small businesses.
Merit launched its new brow collection, and I can’t wait to try it! Are you more of an ’80s or ’90s brown girl?
On the Blog:
In this post, I shared some of my summer favorites: my Breville coffee maker, pajamas, and Henri’s new favorite toy. (a gift from a reader)

Would love to know the make/model of your sunglasses. 🙂

Greetings from Cincinnati! Did I miss it or have you not shared your recipe for Madeline’s? They look so delicious and I’m having friends over to watch the Olympics. Help!
Hi! Yes, I will link them again for you. It was in the Olympic day celebration post. Have fun celebrating in my hometown. 🙂
