Summer Favorites Round Up
My sister and I love to text, sharing our favorite recipes, skincare products, and deals. Our text exchanges inspired this blog post. I wanted to share some of my summer favorites before this season fades. With the Olympics here, I call these my gold medal favorites.

Skincare Summer Heros
Sunscreen is a must! I keep it by the door for easy application and a reminder as we walk the dog and head out on our coffee walks. Next to the sunscreen are our keys, hat, and sunglasses, so they all go hand in hand. I use the EltaMD sunscreen daily. If I am headed out for an evening or afternoon in the sun, I use this Iris and Romeo sunscreen with a tint as the last layer in my skincare routine. I can wear it alone or with makeup, as it has a nice glowy finish. This may be my third or fourth bottle, and I keep both sunscreens with backups.
Full disclosure: The brand sent me this Molecular Hero Serum. I have been using it daily, day and night, and immediately noticed a difference. It is a product I will buy, and I love having a backup that I use often. I sent this to my sister because she needs to order it!
My Breville Coffee Maker: Summer Favorites
I owe a full review of our coffee maker. For over a year, I talked about purchasing a Breville coffee maker. It is an investment, and I couldn’t pull the trigger. At the end of 2023, I bought it as a gift to myself for the year. The machine arrived, and I was so intimidated that I almost gave up. I thought it would just sit pretty in our kitchen. It had a bit of a learning curve, but now I have it down. I love it so much I joke that I run EDP Café out of our home. Whenever someone comes over, I am quick to offer them a cup of coffee.
We have the Barista Impress Express. I wanted the machine with cute digital photos, which cost more, but I knew I wanted this to last a while. The digital version could look dated on our countertop in a few years, and I knew this was an investment piece. This is not only a summer favorite piece but a year-long favorite investment.
Favorite Summer Pajamas
This would also cover the other four seasons, but my sister and I are equally in love with LAKE pajamas. When my sister and nephew visited recently, I gifted them matching pajamas for their stay. My niece and nephew call them Auntie pajamas when they come from me, and I love wearing them. My sister and I both have this set in blue. I also love wearing the short set when it is hot in the summer.
The Best Bedding: Summer Favorites Roundup
Our master and guest bedrooms have Boll and Branch sheets, pillows, and a waffle blanket. Henri has his waffle blanket at the end of the bed, which I moved to our bench. He typically sleeps here in the summer when it gets too hot in the bed. The signature hemmed sheets get softer after each wash, and the waffle blanket is perfect for an extra layer.

Summer Favorite Cookbook
My favorite summer cookbook is Cooking in Real Life. After referencing it multiple times and sending her photos of what I made for dinner, I bought it for my sister. There are so many great recipes inside, and I am still not done working my way through them.
Summer Makeup Favorites
I have spoken about Merit many times in the last couple of years. Their makeup is clean and affordable and I love so many of their products. Alyssa text me recently raving about their glow serum and told me it changed her skin. I personally love their concealer stick all in one for blending, their blush, mascara and lip gloss. When it comes to summer makeup, you really only need a few key pieces for a night out. This is what I packed for both Italy and Boston. While my skincare was a little over the top, my summer makeup routine was simple.
Henri’s Favorite Summer Toy
During the Wells Street Art Fair, a sweet reader dropped off this baguette toy for Henri. I haven’t been able to track down her email, so if you are reading this, please know Henri plays with it daily!
The Best Summer White Blazer
I did a campaign with J.Crew earlier in the summer and I chose this white blazer. It became a summer staple that I wore on repeat all throughout Italy. I got the blazer in a size 6 and it was great for layering over dresses and t-shirts. A gold medal piece for sure!

Summer Denim Favorites
Summer typically gives me a break from wearing denim. In the fall and winter, I am a sweater and jeans girl all the way. We have had some colder evenings in the summer making it perfect for denim, a blouse, and sandals. I have two heroes for summer denim. The first being Frank and Eileen, I have probably worn these more than I care to admit. I have them in both the white and denim color. My husband complements them every time!

I bought the Pippa dress from Sézane earlier this spring in red, and I loved it so much that I got it in black. This blog post features some of my favorite dresses.
