Links I Love Week 24: Year 2025

Hello and Happy Sunday! I am attempting to prepare links a little earlier than usual. This weekend is my big art fair on Wells Street in Chicago. The setup starts at 4 am on Saturday, making the day extremely long. I typically work on links on Saturday, but I can’t sit at the computer until the evening. Fingers crossed, it will be a busy and beautiful day on Saturday and Sunday. I have lost count of the number of times I have done this art fair, but it is around 8 or 9 times.
For years, I would pack up, set up, and tear down all on my own. My incredible and supportive husband jumped in, packed the car, and was ready to go all before 4 am. I never anticipated having an art fair husband after all these years of doing the shoes solo; it’s a bonus. He does it with enthusiasm and love, and I am very grateful to him.
Grab your coffee and croissants, and join me for links I love.

The stress leading up to the art fair is no joke! My sleep has been lacking. I tried these Melatonin gummies (*gifted), and my Oura ring has told me my sleep is off the charts in a good way. These are not for everyday use, but rather for occasional times when you need a sleep reset. I will be packing these for the trip to the south of France to combat jet lag.

I have JCrew Soleil linen pants in 4-5 colors and hoping to get the new yellow ones soon. BTW, dark linen shows wrinkles way less than lighter colors. I machine wash at home in cold water, dry in the dryer, and take to the dry cleaners for pressing! It’s pricey but the shirts and blazers look way better than if I try to iron/steam/spritz. Does the Glass Garden hotel in the 5th have A/C?
Thank you so much for the great tips on the linen pants from J.Crew. I am not sure about the hotel in the 5th having air conditioning. The review was an article I shared not from a personal stay. It is best to contact them directly to learn out more about what features they offer.
Regarding the application of sunscreen, the other area many people forget to apply to is the ears. Consider how much sun exposure your ears get when you are in the car, either as a driver or a passenger. I am part of a melanoma Facebook group, and I have seen the reconstruction work people have had done to their ears due to melanoma. It can be a long and painful process.
