May has flown by and I am planning a few work trips, a family trip, and a destination wedding. It all seems to be going by very quickly! We have a rainy weekend in Chicago so I am hoping to catch up on some work before Monday rolls around. Our farmers market has opened up and Henri and I are enjoying our visits and picking up fresh flowers, eggs, and pastries. We are patiently waiting for summer fruits and vegetables. We did a little work on the garden and we are excited for flowers and herbs to grow.

Grab your coffee and croissants and join me for this week’s links I love.

May is skin cancer awareness month. It can happen to anyone. Make sure you get your yearly skin check at the dermatologist and wear sunscreen even on cloudy days. Some of my favorite sunscreens include this Avène mineral sunscreen and Supergoop sunscreen. You can save 20% off Supergoop with code SUNNY20 through May 24th.

We found a new family favorite spot in Cincinnati for breakfast/brunch called Café Alma. If you find yourself in Cincinnati or live there, definitely check it out. The shakshuka and french toast are incredible.

It’s time to stock up on dijon mustard at Trader Joe’s. The climate and rising costs are hitting the supply of French dijon mustard.

Growing up, strawberry shortcake was my dream dessert. I now want to make this recipe. It was what my grandma and I used to have for our shared birthday dessert. We were two days apart.

How To Keep An Art Journal When You’re At A Loss For Words

I am totally down for having monogrammed pajamas for the wedding. My mom, sister, niece, sister-in-law, and mother-in-law need a pair!

Chicago rooftop cinema looks so cool! We have free options in the parks around the city. The rooftop cinema is a paid version. I haven’t seen a movie in years, this is such a fun idea.

  1. I arrive in Paris with zero toiletries. First thing I do is head to Citypharma and load up.
I just went on Avene’s USA site and was very disappointed. Products at City vastly outnumber this site. I think it’s because the FDA regulates what is sold here and some of the products sold in France can’t be sold here. My fave sunscreen isn’t available here. And the prices at City are cheaper.
Admittedly, not everyone is able to get to Paris, but the shipping charge from City is a lot less than a trip.
You can go on City’s site and see some of the things not usually sold here. They always have specials and now the € is good for us.
