Links I Love Week 2: Year 2025

Paris winter Seine view

LA has been on my heart and my mind this week. I have donated and shared a few different GoFund me pages on Instagram. Everyday Parisian readers are from all over the world, and some of you are right in the heart of LA. If you have a GoFund me page or know someone that needs help, please add it to the comments section. My friend Molly is walking door to door and is on the ground trying to get donations and help businesses. She is amazing, and I am so proud of her for her efforts and strength.

Bonjour from Paris. Traditionally, I start the year in Paris for planning and inspiration. Since I was just in Paris for December, this does sound a little crazy… I wavered back and forth about going and ultimately decided it was where I would be most creative. My book deadline is just around the corner. I had a kickoff meeting with my book team on Friday, and they are just the best! We have some fun ideas, and they are so supportive of my vision. Plus, we have a clear picture (no pun intended) of the cover and a back cover ( I didn’t even think of this!) We still want you to vote for the final decision.

Preorders will be available soon, so stay tuned.

This trip has involved writing and long walks in the cold for coffee and pastries. Over breakfast, I unintentionally chatted with a stranger, which gave me some clarity for the year. I will share more about that later as I marinate and practice what we discussed.

Plus, the stars aligned to meet Melissa (a long-time EDP member), who is staying around the corner from me. We were able to do a coffee and croissant tour of the Marais.

Finding links I love is an endless process. I have worked on this list since last Sunday, before the LA news.

Grab your coffee and croissants, and join me for links I love.

How to help victims in LA. A list of resources.

There is a long list of GoFund me pages. I have shared a lot on Instagram. This is a friend from home who lost his home in the fires.

The skincare routine you should be doing in flight. I don’t agree with all of these products, but I am 100% behind in terms of SPF and hydration. My own flying skincare routine is something I have been meaning to share—something to think about before your next flight.

Avène just revamped their Retrinal, I am curious to try it. They tested it on over 6,900 people, and I like seeing that. Some brands test on a small sample group, but I struggle to trust the results.

Does it matter if you buy brown or white eggs? I have been curious about this.

My friend Jane Bertch is hosting a Paris retreat for women to be inspired, create, and build community. If you are looking for an excuse to book a trip to Paris in early spring, this is it.

Merit just launched a new flush balm. I love their blush; their prices are so reasonable you can play around with colors and use different ones.

Rick Steves shares why and when you should avoid French onion soup in Paris. He has a great point.

One of my favorite traditions with my niece and nephew is Auntie Jammies. I buy them new pairs, and they LOVE wearing them, especially when we match. My nephew is quickly growing out of the pair that he is wearing on repeat. We get ours from LAKE.

The Pasadena Humane society needs your help. I love my Henri so much and my heart breaks for the animals with injuries from the fires.

How much alcohol does it take to increase your cancer risk? Via NYT This has been on my mind.

Margaux just launched three new colors in the Demi Jane. I bought the Ecru, so I am not purchasing any right now. But I own these in green, too!

Alyssa turned me onto Cadence. I haven’t used them yet, but this rose set caught my eye for travel. I keep a set of travel beauty products in my luggage as a duplicate for simplicity.

The impact of hydration on longevity

The best places in Europe for traveling with children I love traveling with my niece and nephew and they are great travelers because my sister started them young.

How to ease travel flight anxiety

The biggest travel trends to expect in 2025

Frank and Eileen has a travel scarf. Their pieces are so soft. I am adding this one to my wish list. There are so many great color options.

Demi Moore won her first Golden Globe at 62. I loved this quote, “In those moments when we don’t think we’re smart enough or pretty enough or skinny enough or successful enough or basically just not enough, I had a woman say to me, ‘Just know, you will never be enough, but you can know the value of your worth if you just put down the measuring stick,'”

Travel hacks debunked. Do they work? Try these five instead.

Black riding boots have been on my mind since December in Paris. It was the big trend I saw with tights and dresses/skirts. A trait that I take after my dad, I will be talking about this style until I finally break down and buy them and wonder why I didn’t do it earlier. Case in point… my Breville was the same pattern.

Why is the American diet so deadly?

How to made homemade vanilla extract via Zoe Bakes. This has been on my list and I bought vanilla bean in Paris. (After reading the recipe, I may have to go buy more beans)

Boll and Branch make The Today Show. I went to high school with the founder’s brother years ago. It’s such a fun connection, and I love seeing them grow.

    • I am so sorry about your friend and her family. Sending love and healing prayers as they rebuild. Community members have access to donate here. xo

  1. Rebecca, thank you for letting me post these two GoFundMe links. I had two cousins impacted by the fire in Altadena. One cousin lost their house. My other cousin’s house is still standing, the only home left in the entire neighborhood. Clearly they won’t be going home anytime soon. He’s self-employed, running his personal training business out of the home, so this is also going to impact his employment. Thank you for letting me post these!
