Links I Love Week 1: Year 2025

Henri and Me

Over break, I planned to rest and restore. It was hard to turn my mind off completely, even though I locked my laptop in the hotel safe for a few days. I believe that we should start January slowly with intentions and continue to rest as we start the new year. There is no need to run right out of the gate on January 1st. I like to set my goals over the month and have a focus for the year ahead.

Due to a book deadline, I have been with my head down, working hard to organize the book. The cover and more details on the book will be announced soon.

Grab your coffee and croissants, and join me for links I love.

I read a lot and finished “The Women” in one day, which I enjoyed. I watched The Six Triple Eights on NYE and was truly inspired by both lead female stories. My sister and family took my recommendation and also enjoyed watching it this week.

New sneakers, new year. Does anyone else have fitness goals for the new year? My SIL influenced me to buy these, and I got them in white, which feels very out of character for me. I bought them in an 8.5, and they run true to size.

  1. Best of luck and inspiration as you continue work on your book! Merci especially for the Sézane update and the Forbes roundup of chocolate shops in Paris. Which of these shops have you been to, and which do you recommend (including others not on this list)? 🙂

    • Hi Alexandra,

Thank you! I think I have been to most of these on the list. My favorite currently is Plaq on Rue du Nil. Definitely bookmark it for your next trip!

  2. I loved The Six Triple Eights as well. I watched it over the holidays with my mum and sister. It was a great women’s empowerment, feel-good movie.
