Links I Love Week 31

Bar du Moulin Paris France

Happy Sunday! We are in the middle of a little house project this weekend. Our neighbors installed a fence, and we are painting and staining the back patio. Once we have everything painted, we are excited to get our garden back in order. As usual, we are down to the wire deciding on a paint color. I will share more as it progresses. You can see behind the scenes on Instagram.

The vintage accessory trend is back for the summer. I saw it all over Italy, and I love it!

Here’s everything we know about And Just Like That Season 3. For reference, I didn’t love it when I first watched it, but I binge-watched it on the way home from a trip and really enjoyed it.

My favorite summer dress is now restocked in white! It is currently on preorder. The cream color sold out fast. I own it in size small.

The It Ends With Us trailer is here. There is a trigger warning for domestic abuse. I didn’t see this mentioned when I read the books.

Madewell added new colors and fabrics to their best-selling Greta flat, which I own in red. These flats are so cute, comfy, and only $98.

The new IT water bottle for back-to-school is a shocker: It is not the Stanley Tumbler I never got into.

Blake Lively is making waves for her views on conditioners. She says people in her industry don’t use them; they use this instead.

Frank and Eileen are celebrating their 15th anniversary with a special 25% off sale on select pieces and colors. I love their plaids.

This past week, I shot some fall looks with Yulia, and it turned out to be a sweltering and humid morning. We had expected rain, but it turned out to be sticky. The morning was fun, and we made the best of it. There were a lot of questions about my makeup, so I put them all in a post here. Sunscreen is a must, and I use it as my last layer of skincare as a primer. Lipstick is always a hot topic. I used two colors but wore this one the most.

While we may have had too much Olympic coverage, I wanted to highlight this article on Simon Biles and mental health. Mental health is so important.

Here are a few great new arrivals from J.Crew: these cropped pants, this red satin dress, and this black bucket bag

This navy dress from Boden, priced at $120, caught my eye. It is an excellent dress for transitional fall weather paired with a jacket and boots.

Is Pilates strength training? My doctor was happy I added this to my weekly routine. I have loved the reformer, and taking a class with Chicago EDP readers would be fun.

I ordered a few pairs of these leggings since they are on sale, under $50.

This week’s best sellers were a lot of fun to pull together. For this month’s best sellers, white pants from both Madewell and Frank and Eileen were trending. Plus, the red flats are so good!

The twelve best East Coast road trips. I want to do the Vermont one. My husband keeps mentioning how much I would love Vermont in the fall.

How to prevent dementia. There are many things you can do now to help your health in the future.

The two most requested pieces I wore this week were this sweatshirt (sized up to a medium) and this suede tote. Yulia and I shot so many fun back-to-school/fall pieces this week.

A dentist’s guide to water flossing. I love mine and use it daily. My dentist recommends flossing and water flossing 🙂

The Oura ring is adding more features, and I can’t wait. I swapped my watch for the ring at the start of this year, and I love it. Our ring sizing is different from regular sizing. I am a size nine and learned that the hard way. (I ordered way too small twice.) I wear mine on my pointer finger on my right hand.

How is your summer reading coming along?

Italy’s Cinque Terre Path of Love Reopens. If you haven’t been, I highly recommend the hike. It is stunning!

Tuckernuck has a fun Nantucket guide with places to eat, shop, and stay. Nantucket is on my bucket list. Have you been?

This Paris vintage shirt is too cute. I went down a rabbit hole and found a whole selection by the brand. The USA vintage sweatshirt also caught my eye.

Sisley Paris just arrived at Dermstore. I have been using and loving this French brand for years. I hired the brand to do my wedding makeup! There is an upcoming Dermstore sale, and I am unsure if they are included. Add what you want to your cart, and get ready!

My husband shared this article from Chicago Magazine ranking the 50 best restaurants. We have been to some, and others are now on our list. It helped get us out of our neighborhood, and we had an impromptu date night out.

I made this Clafoutis recipe earlier in the week with blueberries. You may have seen me enjoy it on Instagram. It was so good and I topped it with a little ice cream at the end of our photo shoot.

The Parisian apartment of Jeanne Damas

I can’t stop thinking about this green light. I’m not sure where it will go in our home, but I may have to find a spot.

Paris is empty, the Olympic party that never came.

In Paris, an apartment with postcard views. That bathtub and view are dreamy!

  1. I lived on Cape Cod for many, many years and, though I primarily went to Nantucket for work, I would highly recommend a visit. The best time to go is between Labor Day and Columbus Day, when the crowds have thinned and the island is lovely. The Tuckernuck recs are solid.

    • Hi Lisa,

Thank you so much for this helpful information! I don’t think I will get there this fall but hopefully next year. Tuckernuck does such a good job with their guides. xo
