Last week, I took you for a walk through the Marais, this week a walk through Luxembourg Gardens through the seasons. The photos in this series of Paris have been collected over 10 years of traveling back and forth to Paris. I came up with an idea back in 2014 to create a series that takes you through the seasons of Paris in different parts of the city. It has been a book idea of mine that I have been working on slowly. I decided to take you through Luxembourg Gardens in this post season by season so you can see how the city changes with just the smallest details. I am a Right Bank girl but there is something special about Luxembourg Gardens that brings me back every single visit.
Most of the images are available in The Print Shop for purchase (click the image for the link) and help support me and my next trip to Paris to continue what I love the most capturing the city frame by frame.
My friend Katie shot these of me on a foggy Spring day in Luxembourg Gardens and they remain some of my all time favorite photos of me.
It wasn’t until just this past year that I got to experience Summer in Paris. I am always back in Chicago and Summers in Paris can be brutal. This was during the heat wave and just after a trip to the South of France with my family.
I have probably spent the most amount of time in Luxembourg in the Fall. In September, Luxembourg Palace is open to the public for two days. I waited in line for a good amount of time in the rain but it was well worth the wait seeing inside. The rain cleared by the time I was inside and the gardens were filled with people enjoying the warm fall day.
As the city transforms further into Fall
