Links I Love Week 11 Year 2024

Happy Sunday! We are officially on our way to Telluride for the week to ski. (yes, again) My high school friend Colleen sent me a list of recommendations I cannot wait to check out. I am writing links this week with my new readers. It’s an adjustment, and I am trying to get used to them. You can see them here in this video. This week was a big one. I had a photo shoot on Friday with Yulia for a campaign. We have been working together for the past few months, and she has quickly become a friend.

In case you missed it, The 3-day Paris Spring Itinerary launched. This is an accompaniment to The Paris Guide or can be used on its own. I wanted to write a detailed itinerary on making the most of a weekend in Paris during spring. Many of you are traveling to Paris in the next couple of months. This covers the best places to see Paris in bloom and a short list of my favorite hotels and restaurants, all on a Google map. Plus, as a bonus, a rainy day Paris itinerary.

Grab your coffee and croissants, and join me for links I love.

Polka dots are everywhere this season, and I love them! I recently found this swimsuit that I added to my wish list for summer.

12 black and white kitchens that are timeless

According to CN Traveler, these are the best bakeries in Paris. I am adding some of these to my Paris list for my next trip.

Madewell is having a 25% off sale. You don’t need a code; just sign in to your account, and the discount will be applied. When it was warm, I popped by our local shop with Henri earlier this week, and we had a blast picking out some new spring pieces. Yulia and I shot a few of the looks this past week. You can see my favorite new white jeans and a roundup of my top picks here.

* Madewell was kind enough to gift me as a surprise.

My husband was in Paris this week for work, and I helped him find a few spots he enjoyed, and he wanted to ensure I shared them. He stayed at this hotel, and it was an excellent price for a 5-star. There was an option for a balcony, but he didn’t get it this time. For meals, he enjoyed this family-run spot. He ate here with work colleagues, and I am happy I could find this gem for them. They also enjoyed this speakeasy, which I requested we return to when we visit together. Of course, I was sad not to be with him this time, but he brought back chocolate from Alain Ducasse for me to enjoy.

Is skipping breakfast bad for you?

I am very much into white and cream as we transition to spring. This Everlane sweater has been waiting for a few weeks now. I finally broke it out and love it. It is currently 20% off at Everlane. Ends today.

The best Hamentashen recipe. I made these last year and had to make them again because they ran out so fast. The fun part is all the different flavors you can do with one dough.

I had a reader send in this book of Audrey Hepburn in Paris filled with photographs, quotes, and anecdotes.

This banana bread is so good and easy! I sometimes buy bananas just for future banana bread.

I finished The Paris Daughter by Kristin Harmel, who wrote this month’s “The Winemaker’s Wife,” the EDP book club of the month.

This week’s best sellers include two great pairs of jeans on sale and an adorable dress covered in lemons.

The iconic Paris waiter’s race returns at the end of March.

This is a feel-good story about a Ukrainian-owned coffee shop in Lincoln Park. We have been a few times, and the line is out the door for a good reason.

Does pilates count as strength training? I am doing it a few times a week now.

The little black dress I wore a few weekends ago is on major sale. You can see it on me here.

Paris Olympic ceremony is no longer open to the public.

I bought this cookbook on a whim and am so happy! There are so many simple recipes. I am also thinking EDP bookclub becomes a cookbook club next year 😉

Speaking of, here are the 17 best cookbooks of spring to look forward to

A Haussmanian Paris apartment of a couple inspired by travel. The crown molding, fireplaces, and mirrors are worth checking out. Just stunning!

My mom and sister are going to Italy this spring, and I bought them this shirt. I am bummed to be missing out on this trip, so I bought myself a T-shirt to match them.

Last week, I mentioned I bought this Alex Mill sweater and was bummed the black was sold out. I loved the blue so much and was happy with my choice. It is called the Paris sweater, and I will pack it this spring. The sweater is begging for a coffee and croissant café shot.
