Every Day Parisian Meet Up At Petit Margeaux in Chicago
This week I hosted a Summer Soirée at Petit Margeaux in Chicago. Petit Margeaux recently opened at The Waldorf Astoria on their ground floor. Not only do they have an amazing variety of coffee drinks and tea they also offer an assortment of delicious pastries (including croissants) You have to try the pain au chocolate that oozes with gooey chocolate.
The patio was the perfect location to host our meet up as it is an adorable oasis in the center of the city. We had 15 ladies join us for an evening of rosé, small bites, and sweet treats provided by Petit Margeaux. The weather was a little chilly (70 degrees) but I still wore the dress I planned from Anthropologie but I also brought my leather jacket just in case.
The rosé helped keep us warm on the patio and conversation and new friendships were forming at each table.
We were seated on the patio and dined on delicious tartines from Petit Margeaux. We started with a ratatouille one followed my cheese and jambon and corichon.
The special of the day was a tartine with anchovies, onions, and olives. You can view the whole menu including wines here.
What I love about the meet ups is it brings like minded people (Francophiles) together. As Adults I think it is so much harder to make new friends especially if you freelance or work from home. This is a great opportunity to make new friends in your city. I hope to have more of these in other cities as the blog grows. If you have any special requests don’t hesitate to email or comment below and let me know where you want the next meet up!
A crowd favorite at the meet ups this year has been the macarons. They always disappear so quickly! From Petit Margeaux we had mint with chocolate ganache and the pink ones were PLUM. There was a mad dash for the last plum macaron because they were seriously that good!
A huge MERCI to Petit Margeaux at The Waldorf for hosting the Every Day Parisian meet up this August. We had the best time and I know we will be back soon for more rosé and macarons.
It looks perfect, some of my favorite things! Would have loved to be there.
Thank you! It is the perfect combo rosé and macarons 😉 I wish you were there too!
