What I Am Packing for the South of France
Our South of France trip is just around the corner. I am very excited to explore this part of France with my husband and experience new towns and hotels. You can see our itinerary here. Below is what I am packing for the South of France.
We prefer to pack in just a carry-on for ease of travel between multiple destinations and to avoid worrying about lost luggage. I like to bring this Longchamp bag to fill with anything that we might purchase during our trip, and I can check it on the way home.
Here is a look at what I am packing for the South of France:
I expect it to be hot, so lightweight blouses and linen will be key.
Dresses for The South of France
I have a few favorite pieces from Sézane and ME+EM, and I’m excited to wear them in the South of France.
Blouses: What I am Packing for the South of France
These lightweight blouses take up minimal space in my suitcase and are perfect for hot weather. Perfectly paired with a skirt or white denim.
Swim:
I packed a few different swimsuits, including this black one from J.Crew and a new two-piece I purchased in butter yellow.
Bags for the South of France:
Workout Clothes for The South of France
We plan on taking a hike from Nice to Villefranche-sur-Mer, so I am packing my sneakers, shorts, and a t-shirt for the walk. The sneakers will also be what I wear on the plane, as I will be walking a lot in the airport.
Sunscreen and Makeup Will be Light Due to the Heat
I have been loving Iris and Romeo for their lip gloss, cheek stain, and Weekend Skin. It is the perfect summer glow with SPF.
What I am Packing in My Bag for the South of France
While I want this to be a vacation, I am looking forward to shooting the beaches and the South of France. Photography brings me joy, and I am excited to look at this part of France with a fresh set of eyes. I have downloaded a few books for my Kindle, and my Airpods are charged.

Hi there!
I used to live in the South of France and many of my friends still do. They say it has been abnormally hot in the south the last few weeks and likely to get hotter – approaching 40degrees C. I would pack higher than factor 50 sunscreen and also take even lighter clothes if you can! The forecast is for unusually hot conditions to hit Europe over the next wee while with temperature 10 degrees higher than it has been.
