Tuileries Paris

I am having a quiet weekend at home, a nice change of pace before things pick up in a big way. On Saturday, I had a massage, and on Sunday, I am trying out a yoga/acupuncture session. Holiday gift guides are coming soon. Stay tuned! There is a giveaway for an Advent calendar on the blog that ends today. Details are at the end of this post.

Paris Every Day officially launches this Tuesday! The book is dedicated to my grandma. I thought it was about time you learned more about Grandma Plotnick. You can read about her here.

One of the most-asked-about items in my closet is the red coat I am wearing on the back of Paris Every Day. It was a last-minute purchase at Zara in Paris. It looks like they brought it back!! Under $100 and comes in a few colors.

Why stores with a backstory are on the rise. Elle Decor

My husband and I popped into CB2 to see a mattress this week. I was so impressed with the store and the newest designs. It has been a minute since I was in. I loved the dark green color mixed with browns and cream. If we didn’t already have a navy couch on order, I am convinced we need a green one

Lake released some of their comfy sets, and they sent me this jogger set. I can’t wait to lounge around in it this fall. All of their pieces are so soft. I typically wear a size small and hang dry after washing.

I loved this piece from Bobbi Brown on the influence of her Aunt Alice

My husband recently mentioned he wanted to buy a second one of these for our kitchen. It is under $20 and the most used item! We are always searching for it, and 9/10, it is in the dishwasher.

I always say a little French goes a long way in being polite. This post shares six key phrases to maintain the politesse in France

Jayson Home is an incredible home store in Chicago, filled with French antiques, furniture, candles, gifts, and books. See the apartment of the owner of Jayson Home. It is perfectly curated, filled with stories on how he sourced each piece, plus, you won’t believe he rents!

For today’s Paris visitors, the era of the lost generation still resonates

Loving the mocha version of my Cuyana bag. So on trend for the season

Le Creuset quietly dropped new pieces this October, and they are really good! I have a glass version of this and use it daily. Game changer, since I don’t like using aerosol non-stick sprays. I fill mine with olive oil.

This pumpkin bread is on my list to bake this week. I am hoping for this Sunday, but it may end up happening for Halloween.

Our laundry cabinet can not be without this stain solution that I swear by. Restocking as we are running low.

Restaurants are pitching water as a fine-dining experience. This was such an interesting read from the WSJ.

The garment duffle bag I raved about all summer from AWAY is back in stock in all colors. My husband and I couldn’t stop talking about how much we loved this piece. It has a million pockets to store things.

Way Day is here! This includes our new kitchen runner we love so much. I ordered these glasses this summer and I am so happy with them! The set comes with 8, and they are so much sturdier than our other glasses, I kept breaking. Also, if you missed our planters this summer, they are still available and on sale. We change the boxes out each season with different flowers. (currently with mums) And they have held up so well!

Five little luxuries that make a big difference. Do you have your own list?

I am a sucker for pajamas, and monogrammed pajamas are even better. Petite Plume is offering 50% off monograms right now. If you can plan for the holidays, I would do it!

This scarf was on my Fall Wish list, and I couldn’t wait to have it for the cold days ahead. I was torn between the cream or the grey/black combo. Eventually, I decided that the darker colors were better for Paris and my coat collection. This makes a great gift for the traveler, too.

My friend Brooke launched her Substack. 5 items to buy at the Container Store Bogo Sale. She is a professional organizer and I love all her tips.

My husband sent me this carrot soup recipe for November. Sounds delicious.

For Henri’s wish list. We would be the best dog parents ever if we gave him a stocking full of these.

Advent Calendars are here for 2025. There is a giveaway that ends today! Don’t miss a chance for a Mariage Frères advent calendar in this post.
