My Hunt for a Turkish Rug
The front room is coming along well. It was actually the first room to come together as the movers moved in my couch, coffee table, and chairs (vintage). The art above the bookcases are pieces I had of my own around my apartment. The print above the fireplace is a 60×40 canvas print of The Flat Iron in New York City. It has a story behind it but I will need to wait until next year to share it with you all.
This is the room I call the library for obvious reasons, there are all my books in one spot. There isn’t a tv in the room but there may be one day. For now, this is where I work with the early morning light behind me and where I enjoy the newspaper and a coffee on a Sunday. This couch was made for naps in the afternoons and wine in the evenings.
I ordered the rug from One Kings Lane before I moved in based on the colors of the fireplace and the wall color. I thought it would work perfectly and it isn’t bad, I could easily live with it. But, I was hoping for something with a little more character like a Turkish Rug. So I am on the hunt for one that is not too crazy expensive but quality and has some colors that match the room.
The navy pillows and blanket are from West Elm.

Oh my, you are such an awesome decorator and this looks amazing! Just seeing the fireplace pic in earlier posts, I had no idea what this room would look like. SO gorgeous Rebecca! Thank you for inspiring again! 🙂

Thank you, Robin! The room came together quickly and well. It is my favorite room to hang out in now. I am playing with the idea of a mirror over the fireplace and there is an empty corner to the right which may need something eventually. I will continue to share as it evolves 🙂
