I arrived in Paris this past Friday and hit the ground running. The best way to beat jet lag is to just power through until a normal sleep time. My Paris agenda this Spring has two projects.
The first project is to work with Paris Perfect Rentals. They have an amazing opportunity with a Fractional Rental close to Rue Cler. I am staying in their Beaune two bedroom apartment for the week. I will be sharing more details about this in a later post. You can see the view below from the living room. While I work, I can see the Eiffel Tower sparkle. (if you follow along on Instagram you can see the videos)
The other project is my photography exhibition with Pavillon des Lettres. I did choose which photographs I am hanging in the hotel, but I am waiting until they are up before I share which set I decided on. Transporting the frames along with the prints from the US was a bit of a challenge but everything made it safely.
I am in Paris a total of 12 days and I have been on the hunt for blossoms. The weather was beautiful just before my arrival at the end of February and it has turned cold and rainy. There are pops of pink around the city and I have a feeling they will continue to blossom over the next week. I will make sure to note the first locations in an upcoming post if you are heading to Paris soon.
If you do have a trip planned to Paris in the next few weeks, make sure to pack an umbrella, sweaters, and a warm jacket. I brought two pairs of Blondos (waterproof boots) and I have been living in them since my arrival. Paris is 50 degrees warmer than Chicago, but it still is chilly if you are outside for an extended period of time. It doesn’t look like there is much sun for the rest of my visit but I will be sure to capture some good rain photos.
It is only Monday but I already recorded my first podcast episode with The Earful Tower. Stay tuned for that in the coming weeks.
I will be staying on the Left Bank for a week total so I am hoping to explore more of this new neighborhood and challenge myself to discover something new. I am close to Rue Cler and I struggling with finding a non touristy dinner spot. I am open to suggestions if anyone has any.
It has been fun running into blog readers over the last few days from the DFW airport on the way to Paris and at restaurants in the city. I am so happy when you introduce yourselves. Thank you so much for reading the blog and for your continued support!
