What to Gift Yourself this Holiday

what to gift yourself this holiday everyday parisian

When it comes to holiday gift-giving, don’t forget to gift something to yourself. I started this tradition a few years ago. As a solo entrepreneur, I never get a bonus but at the end of the year, I buy something I have had my eye on as a holiday gift. Last year, I bought his necklace and I haven’t taken it off since. It wasn’t crazy expensive but a good reminder of all my hard work.

Here are a few gift ideas to give yourself this holiday season that won’t break the bank.

Candle

This is always a great gift option. I like to think of Diptyque as an investment candle. They aren’t cheap, but they are long-lasting and beautiful. Before 2020, I would burn a candle when I was home from time to time but rarely burn through that many in a year. Lighting a candle has become a nightly tradition to transition from the workday to unwind time. I got this idea from Emily of Cupcakes and Cashmere. This one from Sisley that smells of Tuberose has been one of my all-time favorites. An investment but the smell is long-lasting and not too powerful.

Other candles I love are Lightwell Co, Nest, and Cire Trudon.

Nespresso

I love my coffee in the morning. I switch between my Nespresso and French Pressed coffee. My sister got me my first Nespresso as a gift and now I recently upgraded to the virtuoso line. I swear it was the best gift my sister gave me besides my niece and nephew. It has lasted the longest and used the most often. You can get a good deal these days on one and they should range around $125-$175

Robe/Pajamas/Slippers

I am all about comfort this year and I know so many of you are too. My favorite slippers are by Mahabis. They were gifted and I have worn them for 3 years and still love them. Pajamas, matching all the way. JCrew makes great ones. I did a whole post on matching pajamas. For a robe, this is still on my wish list and maybe the gift for 2020. I have my eye on this one from Cuyana.

Le Creuset Dutch Oven

The price currently is around $400. It is an investment, but it will last a lifetime and the item I use the most in the kitchen. It seriously is one of my favorite things!

Masterclass

Masterclass offers classes from all the masters in so many skill sets. I am gifting this to myself this year. They have a 2/1 deal which means you can gift one and get one for yourself. We will be starting 2021 at home, but we can start the year off by mastering a skill or learning something new.

Jewelry

Under $200. I love Monica VInader and have a few of her pieces. Earrings, a necklace, a ring, or a bracelet are all practical items that can be worn over and over.

Skincare

This is a great gift to yourself. Even a scented hand lotion or soap is a great gift to yourself. I have this soap in the kitchen and this one in the bathroom and I love the way they smell. If you have the money, invest in a cream or mask you have had your eye on. These masks from Sisley are my favorite and I love this affordable one from Klorane.
