What I Pack in My Cuyana Crossbody Bag
My Crossbody Cuyana Bag
Cuyana is one of my favorite brands and I have collected a few pieces from them over the years. You probably have heard how much I love my top zip tote bag. Since life has changed a bit with the pandemic, so has my bag size. I no longer need to carry a bunch of things out and about. It is more important than I am hands-free and light.
I first discovered the Cuyana camera bag while in NYC at the Cuyana store. I happened to have my Fuji with me so I made sure it would fit along with a few other items including my wallet. Now that I have switched over to cashless via Apple pay, I was able to eliminate this.
This was on my wish list since February. Once I started going on daily walks around the neighborhood I knew this bag would be perfect for everything I needed. I saw the price dropped recently so I invested in the bag. I know that I will find a good use for it in Paris next year.
I had a lot of questions about the bag, so I thought I would share my thoughts in this post and help you make a decision for your own needs.
When it first arrived it was really stiff, almost too stiff. I had a reader tell me she owns one and it gets easier as it gets broken in. My hands were not so comfortable going in and out of the zipper on the first day. It is sturdy and I feel much better about having my camera in this bag vs one that has no structure to it. That really is my only complaint about the bag and I know it will get better over time. My top zip tote is like butter now after moving at around for years. I can’t wait to travel the world with this camera bag once it opens up!
For now, it is perfect for my walks around the neighborhood with or without my camera and a few essentials.
This is what I fit inside:
Fujix100 This is a great walk-around camera for Paris, but it only has one fixed lens. This is my camera case. My back hurt so much from carrying around multiple lenses and this was great for walks.
One of my favorite purchases of 2020 is my Apple Airpods. Great for listening to music on the go. They are so small and easily fit in my bag. There is no cord which means they won’t end up all tangled on the bottom 🙂
Keys
Hand Sanitizer. I picked this one up and it smells like lavender. I have a bunch in different bags.
Caudalie Lip Balm because I don’t leave the house without it.
My iPhone. It takes great photos plus, I can keep in touch with family and friends when I am out on my walks.
This post was not sponsored by Cuyana. All opinions are my own. This is a brand I love and support. I make a small commission off of items purchased through my links. Merci!
My daughter was obsessed with all things Paris when she was little, and I decided to take the plunge and travel to Paris with her when she was 11….your Instagram account is such a lovely reminder of our trip. She is 18 now, and we plan to return as soon as it is safe. I’ve ordered your calendar and have now become obsessed with the Cuyana website! Do you by chance have any of their wallets?
Hi Jen,
That’s so sweet! Thank you. I hope it brings beautiful memories of your trip.
I have a small Cuyana wallet that I use for travel. I would do the larger zip around one but I have a Marc Jacobs one from years ago that works perfectly fine. Let me know if you have any other questions and I am happy to help!

This bag sounds perfect for your use! Is it a crossbody? I’d love to see a photo of you using it!
Yes, it is a crossbody! I will see if I can get a photo of me wearing it. I usually go solo on my walks. But I will see what I can do.
