The Best New Fall Arrivals
The arrival of Fall crisp weather and new clothes has put a little pep in my step. Don’t get me wrong, I have enjoyed my Summer dresses to the fullest and I have barely put on a pair of jeans in the last couple of months. There is something cozy and comforting about throwing on a warm sweater, boots, and jeans and walking through the leaves. I grew up in Ohio and our Fall is beautiful. Most likely, I won’t get to Ohio this Fall or Paris but I will welcome the change of scenery in my own neighborhood on my daily walks and I have already started buying apples at my local farmers market.
Chicago is still in Summer weather mode, but it won’t be long before the weather changes. I can already feel a crisp chill in the air. I dropped off my sweaters at the dry cleaners that have been in a pile since the move and I will have to shift around my closet to make room for them. I have had a few emails in my inboxes announcing Fall clothes and there are so many cute items to refresh your wardrobe.

& Other Stories
I first discovered & Other Stories in Paris. I love that they have designs from Stockholm, Paris, and Los Angeles. I wish we had a store in Chicago. There is one in Paris in the Marais which is so easy to pop into from time to time. They have beautifully designed pieces and they are affordable. I would mostly say to size up in this brand. It runs European sizing so keep that in mind. If you are on the fence, order two sizes and see which one works best for you.
I ordered this sweater in navy. It is oversized so I sized down to an XS. I can’t wait for it to arrive.
J.Crew
J.Crew is offering 40% off new arrivals right now and that includes sweaters. I have this Sophie blazer from two years ago that I wore even more last year at the start of lockdown. It is so easy to throw on and layer to keep warm.
Sézane
Sézane is one of the top French modern brands for women. I personally love it and look forward to when they release new collections. If you are overwhelmed by their selection, their top 20 should help. I have several sweaters from them that I have bought over the years and they are still going strong. I keep adding to the collection. The Gaspard is a French girl staple and comes in a variety of colors.
H & M
I recently purchased a new sweater just this week from H & M and I still have a few from previous seasons. I was happy to see that these styles have carried over the years and they still hold up after washing and hang drying. (key) They have a lot of fun styles which I will say is a lot easier to shop online vs dig through the racks in the stores. I own this sweater in both colors.
MANGO
Mango is a brand I found while studying abroad and I find it mixed in with the Zara and H & M price points. It was founded in Barcelona and opened in London and has expanded. They have a fun style for an affordable price point.

Wait. Where is that camel hair coat in which you are photographed?!
Hi!
It is from Sézane! This one is the most similar available at the moment. https://rstyle.me/+x7r-SK2sG_m70omEOHdGZg
Such a good roundup! I just ordered from H&M and Mango through your links! You’ve made my shopping experience easier 🙂
Hi Anjie,
Thank you so much! I hope you love them. Let me know how they work out for you 🙂
H&M sweaters are the best! Not a store I usually shop at, but I love their oversized comfy sweaters; plus you can’t beat the price point.
Yes! I am so surprised that they have held up over the years at that price point. I don’t shop there much either but they are great for those sweaters.
I hope you have a great holiday weekend xo
