Links I Love Week 7: Year 2025

Paris spring tulips

Bonjour from sunny Florida. I took the long weekend to spend with family. I made rice crispy treats with my niece and nephew on Friday night. (a family favorite) My nephew declared this his favorite Valentine’s Day in his eight years on earth. His excitement, happiness, pure innocence, and love radiated throughout the kitchen. At that moment, it may have been my favorite Valentine’s Day as an adult. The kids are growing up so fast, and it is a joy to see their personalities blossom.

My sister and I squeezed in two Pilates classes between work and kid pickup. I love that she is into Pilates and that we can do it together.

The weekend went by way too quickly, and we are working on planning another trip to see each other again soon.

This Sunday’s links were a lot of fun to put together. I had a few fun reads in Substack that I can’t wait to share.

Grab your coffee and croissants, and join me in this week’s links I love.

Flare jeans are the trend for spring 2025. I love a few options for the flared look: these from J.Crew, Madewell’s relaxed bootcut denim, and this pair from Frame, which was gifted from the brand. They run long and need to be hemmed.

If you have been to Paris, you may be familiar with the sunglasses brand Jimmy Fairly. They are similar to Warby Parker in the States. Recently, they have really expanded with more stores in Paris, and they are in all different neighborhoods around the city. I just saw that they ship to the US. Their styles are a mix of trendy and classic.

    • My pleasure! I would love to meet you in the store one day. Henri and I are looking forward to the patio when the weather turns!

  1. Bonjour! I am planning a trip to Paris with my husband for late April and I’d like to purchase your “Paris Guide”. Which one do you recommend I buy for first timers who will be staying 4 days? I don’t know which area to stay in would be best, or how to even begin planning, but your guide would be a great start. I’m also planning a photo shoot with Katie while we are there. Merci, Rebecca!

    • Hi Deborah,

I would buy The Paris Guide digital, it is filled with helpful tips especially since you are just beginning the Paris planning process.

    • Thank you, Kathy! I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. It brings me a lot of joy and I am so happy you enjoy them. xo

  2. So many great links, merci! I loved the article on organizing, “How watching my dog made me value time”, and the 10 chic ways to wear red (sooo good), and many others. Thank you for contributing to my cappuccino and croissants time in such a meaningful way 🙂 Have a wonderful weekend!

    • I am so happy you enjoyed this week’s links! The dog post tugged at my heart and med me cry. Thank you for the feedback on what you enjoyed most. Have a wonderful Sunday xo

  3. Bonjour- I have been following you for over a year in anticipation of our trip to Paris this April. I want to thank you for introducing Kate Donnally to me as I have just won a photo shoot with her! I can’t wait!
    Merci Jennifer

    • Bonjour, Jennifer! I am so happy for you and your upcoming shoot with Katie. Have a wonderful time in Paris and have a croissant for me. 😉

  4. I actually bought the home I grew up in AND it’s the home my mom grew up in too. My grandparents were the original owners. My home was their 1st home ever after moving to Saint Paul from NYC where they had to move 18 times in 5 years. There are a lot of hard memories here but I am transforming them as I physically transform the home. I have black and white photos of my grandparents in the home. I have a picture of my grandfather, who I never met, sneaking a spoonful of potato salad in my, now, kitchen.

Lastly, I’d love it if everyone would stop giving Elizabeth Holmes an inch of media space. Her greed KILLED people. Maybe instead, people could interview her VICTIMS.

    • You are very lucky to live in your childhood home and the opportunity to bring new life to the space. I love the sweet memories you have of your grandparents in the kitchen. What a beautiful legacy to continue for your family.

Thank you for your feedback on the Elizabeth Holmes article. It was an interesting approach and I do agree, there are a lot of victims that could give a different view on the story.

  5. Love all the links in this, thank you!! I live in SWFL, Fort Myers. I hope you’re enjoying your time here 🙂
