Links I Love Week 46: Year 2025

Café Hugo Paris

I spent the weekend in Boston visiting friends and walking for Lung Cancer Awareness. Linking the walk here in case you want to donate or learn more about Lungevity. This was the 6th year the family has participated in the walk.

Earlier this week, a friend hosted a lovely book event at her home. I was able to meet some incredible new ladies that live in Chicago and talk all things Paris. Next up on the list, I have two events in December. I am also very excited to share I am headed to California for an incredible (pinch me) experience in February. Once I have more details, I will share. For those of you in California, I will give you plenty of time to save the date and grab tickets. There is a hint in this week’s links.

Paris Holiday Book Boxes are here! I have had this idea since the summer and have been waiting to launch these once the book was officially out. Gift a box to a family member or Francophile friend. They are ready to gift just add the name and recipient with the correct address. The boxes are limited edition for this year and once they are sold out, they will not be restocked. This includes signed copies of Paris Every Day.

My new favorite blouse! I paired this with a pair of wide legged black pants and boots this week.

This is such an interesting article about Brittany Snow and her health struggles. She thought she would never work again a few years ago and this year, she has three hits. I have been watching her since she was on Guiding Light as a kid.

She almost gave up. Now she has the year’s unlikely hit novel. I loved this quote, “Today, Patchett believes word-of-mouth made the difference. Whenever she goes to the grocery store or is walking her dog, somebody stops her to say they are reading the book. “The only thing that sells a book is one person reads it and tells two others to read it,” Patchett said in a phone interview. “And that’s what she’s getting.”

These cashmere socks are the perfect shade of red.

Brunch with Babs turned an old basket shop into the Conneecticut cottage of her dreams.

Boden brought this dress back from last year and I am still in love. So adorable for the holiday season.

For those in Chicago. Check out the Lycée Fall Market next weekend. It supports a French school and put on by the Parent Association.

The Perimenopause Whisper Network. This comes up in more conversations now and I encourage others to talk about it more.

Fall makeup look

I had a shoot with Yulia this week. Time was limited and I did a very quick makeup look. (all details linked here) Merit is a brand I continue to circle back to and love. Their foundation and concealer stick is one of my favorite products and works so well! I highly recommend getting the blending brush too. Wearing Pointelle on my lips.

Snow is in the forecast in Chicago. I am not ready and just ordered these gloves for dog walks. Henri loves snow days.

How speciality coffee culture is changing in France. I have seen this progressively happen over the last ten plus years.

Rachel Brosnahan will direct a documentary about her late Aunt Kate Spade. I love her from Mrs. Maisel and recently spotted her filming in Chicago. She is also slated to be in the second season of Presumed Innocent.

Paula McLain of The Paris Wife has a new book out this January. Adding to my preorder list. More on her a little later. I promise, it is worth the wait! 😉

25 years later, we are still rightfully obsessed with Emily Gilmore. Love this and can’t wait to watch a little with my niece over Thanksgiving.

Last week, I ordered a new runner from Ruggable for in front of our washing machine. Now, I am eyeing this festive one currently on sale.

This week’s best sellers include adorable monogrammed pajamas, a striped shirt I have in my cart, a suede bag that will hopefully be on sale in a few weeks, and my favorite travel scarf.
