Entry

This is the update that is coming SO soon. I ordered wallpaper (finally) from Serena and Lily and ended up not ordering enough so they have to come back and install it all at the same time. This is bold and a little out of my comfort zone but I think it will be great when it all comes together. I picked up a light at Rejuvenation for the ceiling.

I hung a coat rack that I found at Homegoods that was at my old place. Great reuse of an item for $20! I hang my coats, bag, and masks right here when I walk in the door.

Bathroom

The bathroom was recently painted Hale Navy to coordinate with the blue in the rug and the entry wallpaper. I had to switch out the light and mirror. Since the fixtures were silver, I couldn’t switch over to gold like I wanted to. I made it work and ended up loving this print from Bondi which really pops against the blue walls.

Library

This room is ALMOST done. Hopefully by the afternoon of this published blog post. I have been waiting for months for shelves to arrive and they have been on backorder. I finally got these shipped from IKEA. I have collected frames of Black and White Paris images I have shot and I have imagined this corner for so long.

The piece above the fireplace is from my Print Shop and is available here.

I did end up replacing it with a large Anthropologie mirror.

The frames are from Target and the prints are from The Print Shop

My couch and coffee table is West Elm both currently on Sale

Dresser – Randolph Antique Market

The lamp is from Target. The original lamp is 5 years old but I found a similar one here.

Office

My office was the first part of the new place that came together. I am still looking for a better/more comfortable desk chair.

Bedroom

I picked up these bedside lamps from West Elm a few weeks ago and they changed the whole room. They are just about the height of the headboard. I found them on sale which makes it even better. The lighting is so much softer in the bedroom before bed with the addition of these lamps.

I ordered this rug from The Rug Guy on Etsy. I bought 3 rugs from him in total. He ships in a week’s time all the way from Turkey.

On my bedside table, I put a candle, journal, and book. This is also where I am doing my daily yoga practice so having a candle out and lit at night helps calm my mind before bed.

The bedside table is from Room and Board

The bedding is from Boll and Branch, I have slowly ordered new bedding over the year. The newest addition is my waffle blanket. You can read all about my Boll and Branch bed here.

Kitchen

There haven’t been any big updates in the kitchen. I ordered a custom coffee/wine bar to be built back in the Summer and it has been delayed over and over. Hopefully, it will arrive next month. This is where I spend the majority of my time when I am not sleeping/working.

I have been eyeing this cabinet from Restoration Hardware to use for my growing collection of plates and cups.

  1. Love it!! Do you own or rent? I’m renting currently and want to make changes but trying to figure out how to go about that with the landlord. Any advice is appreciated if you have it! Thanks!

    • Hi Erin,

I have always asked my landlord in the past if I can paint or hang shelves. If it is an added value to them, they shouldn’t mind the updates. Just give an estimated cost for the project and see if they are interested in contributing to the cost. Luckily, my landlord was pretty open to my changes. I was willing to make updates to improve my quality of living at home. Fresh paint can really lift your mood!

  2. What a fun post! I really enjoyed seeing your home choices. You have definitely made it your own. Thanks for sharing.

    • Thank you so much, Jenn! It has been nice to have a distracting project while being at home. Plus, I am able to really enjoy the space.

I’m thinking of the lamp for a quest bedroom and the Bondi beach photo for our master bath! Also have been eyeing the Paris calendar.
