How to Celebrate Bastille Day at Home

Happy Bastille Day! While most of us won’t be able to be in Paris for this year’s celebration, you can celebrate safely at home in the comfort of your own home or backyard. Here are a few easy ways to celebrate.

Dress Up

This is an instant mood booster. I love a good dress in the Summer or throw on your favorite strip shirt. For Bastille Day add a red lip to your wardrobe. I love this one from Sisley. It is my go to Summer color.

Picnic in Your Backyard

I love a good cheese plate and a glass of wine. I typically pick up a baguette at my local bakery La Fournette in Chicago and I always have a few cheeses in the fridge. Brie, comté, and something with truffle are my favorites.

Listen to a French Soundtrack on Spotify

Drink a glass of Rosé

Play Pétanque

Watch a French themed Movie

I have a whole list of movies to transport you to France here. My top choice would be “A Good Year” because it is Summer and this movie makes me so happy.
