This past weekend I checked into Grand hotel du Palais Royal which is just next to Palais Royal, one of my favorite spots in Paris. The weather was picture perfect in the mid 80’s and sunny. While I am known to be a workaholic, I took a little time to enjoy myself. I grabbed a chilled bottle of Perrier-Jouet and a few champagne glasses and my friend Katie Donnelly and I headed to the garden. I had a few macarons left over from Pierre Hermé which were from their new Spring Collection. I couldn’t think of a better way to toast to Spring in Paris than with champagne and macarons in Palais Royal.
