Links I Love Week 26: Year 2026

sunset in Paris

What a week! I landed from Paris last Sunday (heat wave and all) and spent a few nights in Chicago unpacking and repacking for California. Sausalito was lovely; I was in town for a book event with my friend Paula. She has a new book out called Skylark, which you should read. After a few hours’ delay on a summer Friday of travel, I am back home with Henri. I even managed to sleep past 9 am, which let me catch up on much-needed rest.

A huge thank you to my friend Melissa for organizing the event at Sausalito Books by the Bay in Sausalito.

My husband and I had a date night planned out, and I surrendered to being comfy in my pajamas on the couch. We are very much into completing I Will Find You on Netflix.

This week, I am all about catching up on laundry, life, friends, cooking/baking as much as possible and spending as much time with Henri as possible. Chicago is anticipating a heat wave as Paris finally cools off.

Here is what travelers should never do when temperatures hit extremes. I don’t think the Paris heat wave is the last European wave of the summer.

Dancing is one of the best things you can do for your brain. Here is why. A good reminder that I need to sign up for more classes.

Literary travel is having a moment and I love it.

I love everything Flamingo Estates does. This peppermint block soap caught my eye, and now I want to try it.

Having a regular bedtime is key to good sleep. Here is how to set one. I wake up and go to bed at about the same time every single day, which makes it so much easier not to rely on an alarm. This also helps with migraines for me, as lack of sleep can be a trigger.

I wrote this post about how to survive a Paris heat wave for someone who just went through one.

Did you hear the news? Ina Garten is starting a podcast.

A friend scored this skirt on sale in Paris, and now I have my eye on it.

5 stylish airport outfits. I love the idea of looking chic and comfortable while traveling.

While in Sausalito, I had dinner with my friends Melissa and Paula. They raved about Chantecaille and their mascara and this cushion foundation. Now I need to give it a try. Would love any additional feedback.

My favorite Montecito sweater is on sale in a few colors. I wear this on repeat. It is a piece you will have for a while and that you will wash, wear, and repeat.

Moving is filled with memories and is never an easy process. This was a conversation I had with my friend Melissa who just moved. I loved this article on the grief of moving. Share this with someone who may need it.
