Links I Love Week 4

everyday parisian links i love

It has been another snowy and cold week in Chicago. As I type this, snow continues to fall outside my window. I met up with my friend Kim to share my goals for 2019 and I excited to see how this year plays out. I will be sharing more on my goals on February 1. I gave myself the month of January to reflect and recharge which has been much needed.

Insomnia has gotten the best of me this week. I want to blame it on the full moon but it has lasted a few days. There is no good reason for it. I am surrendering to it and I am taking the opportunity to put a dent in this book. To be honest, I have felt stuck when it comes to reading lately and I haven’t wanted to dig into anything. I spent a few hours reading this last night and I can’t wait to get back to it. I actually like reading in the quiet at 3 am when no one else is awake.

I am going to blame the moon for my insomnia this week. I spent 3 am on the couch listening to this podcast and has totally changed my goal setting for 2019. Game changer!

15 Best Wines at Monoprix (bookmark this for your next trip to Paris) If you aren’t familiar with Monoprix, it is the French equivalent to Target. They have a full grocery but also housewares and clothing. The kids clothing is where I always tell friends to shop when they visit. It’s so cute!

A video of Paris in the snow from 1963. Snow is rare and Paris isn’t equipped to handle snow.

For more photos of Paris from the snow, I pulled these images from my archives in 2013. It was a dream to see Paris in the snow.

The Best Street food in Paris according to Vogue Paris

I love Grace’s honesty in this post. She explains blogging well as we are just normal people with very public lives. It is something I struggle with a lot. She shares way more than I do personally. When it comes down to it, I am not just protecting myself from privacy but the people around me (friends/family) that don’t necessarily want their lives out in the public.

  1. I can’t wait to fall in love on my next flight to Paris while wearing a lovely pink Sezane sweater. Once in Paris, he and I will eat delicious street food, hit up (at least) eight delightful chocolate shops and buy inexpensive wine from Monoprix. Oh, and he will marvel at my command of the French language, thanks to all the (subtitled) movies I watched. 🙂 This week’s list is DIVINE! Thank you, Rebecca. I always look forward to this list!
