Watching the sunset in Paris is one of my favorite times of the day. I do my best to see as many as possible during each visit. I will rarely schedule plans with friends for dinner until after sunset. I love the glowing light the city is covered in just before the sun sets for the evening. In the Winter, it can be as early as 4 pm, and in the Summer 10:00 pm.

On my last night in Paris back in November 2015, I was doing some last-minute shopping at Galleries Lafayette. I was all the way downstairs about to leave the store when I got a text from a friend telling me to see the sunset. I ran to the terrace at the top of the store for this stunning view of the sunset and the Eiffel Tower.
The bar at the top of BHV Le Perchoir has a beautiful view of Paris at sunset and the prices for drinks are reasonable. Just make sure to get there right when the bar opens as there is typically a line to get inside.
To get to the Trocadero to watch the sunset, take the metro. It will let you off right at this spot. There will be a crowd of people, more in the Summer. Just watch your belongings for pickpockets. The view is incredible and worth seeing at least once.
This is where I watch the sunset the most in Paris. Just down from Rue Vieille de Temple and across Pont Louis Philippe to île St Louis.
This was taken during my time in Paris in 2013 when I lived just around the corner. The trees were bare so it was a much better view of the Eiffel Tower.
