My Favorite Things 2025

My favorite things 2025

What I Loved the Most in 2025

Throughout 2025, I have been jotting down notes on some of my favorite things. These are the items I have reached for over and over, and have become part of my everyday life. From beauty, home, to travel finds, along with some items that may surprise you. I hope you enjoy this list, and one of my favorites becomes yours, too!

Of course, Henri is always the favorite thing and at the top of my list year after year.

Majestic Filatures T-Shirt

classic t-shirt paris

While in Paris, I was on the hunt for a white t-shirt. A classic white t-shirt under a blazer was a trend I was seeing everywhere this fall. I had brought one with me but wore it on the plane, and I needed a second clean one for the remainder of the trip. Why not buy one in Paris? Time was short, and I popped into Bon Marché for a t-shirt, which proved challenging. Prices were not cheap, and I eventually ended up at a short rack with just a few options. This Majestic Filatures t-shirt was the cheapest one, and it was more than I was used to spending. I surrendered when there was only one left in size 3. This has turned out to be the t-shirt I grab most often and washes every single week. As I head back to Paris, I am making a note to buy a few more.

Robert Doisneau Photo Exhibition

I am not a big museum person, but I love photography and Robert Doisneau. When my hotel was just a few minutes away from the exhibition in Paris, I made it a priority. I cried with joy as I watched people enjoy the art of photography. The exhibition was beautiful and a highlight of 2025. His book now sits on our coffee table.

The exhibition in Paris is complete. You can find the current locations here.

Frame Denim

For years, I tried different jeans and brands. It wasn’t until 2025 that I fell in love with Frame Denim. Their jeans are the ones I reach for again and again, day after day. Currently, the Palazzo is my favorite because of its front pockets.

They also have a fun collaboration with The Ritz Paris, and I bought one of their hats to wear.

Dyson Vacuum and Fan

Another investment this year was our Dyson vacuum. It was my big purchase from the Nordstrom sale, and it wasn’t cheap. The v15 was an upgrade from our current v8 model and included attachments for smaller areas, such as crumbs and dust. I love a quick clean up with the vacuum, especially in our kitchen and rug areas. My husband loved it more than I could have imagined and was quick to grab it for clean-ups, too.

Also in the Dyson family, I ordered the Dyson hot/cold fan for our bedroom. This is an area of our home that needs the most help staying hot or cold, depending on the season. A great investment, and I keep it next to my bed and have a handy remote with a timer.

Helix Organic Mattress

Helix Mattress

We needed to update our mattress in 2025. It was overdue, and while I loved our old one, I knew it was just a matter of time before it would become an issue for our backs and needed to be updated. After extensive research and testing the mattress in person at a CB2, we decided on the Helix organic mattress. This is one of the mattresses that comes in a box, and while I may have had doubts about whether it could really be that good, it is. My husband and I both really love the mattress and talk about it often, especially after waking up in the morning or on a clean-sheet day.

REBECCAP gets you 22% off

*This was gifted by the brand, and I truly love the mattress. We have slept on the mattress since November.

Merit Complextion Stick and Brush

When it comes to makeup, I don’t love a lot. This Merit complexion stick is a favorite, and I grab it whenever I’m heading out and need some coverage. I use the blending brush, which helps smooth the formula out, giving just the right coverage. Bisque is my color, and I have a backup, so I am never without one.

Longchamp Bag with Scarf

Longchamp bag

On our trip to the South of France, I fell in love with this mini Longchamp bag with a scarf tied around the handle. It was simple and just the perfect size for walking around in the evening. I discovered it just as the store was closing, and I couldn’t decide. For the next couple of days, I couldn’t stop thinking about the bag. When we arrived at the Nice airport with plenty of time to shop, I bought the bag. The scarf tied around the handle really completes it.

AYR Travel Pants The High Hopes

AYR sent the High Hopes to me, and I completely forgot about them for months. I rediscovered them in my closet, and I have been hooked ever since. They are perfect for long travel days, comfortable, and with pockets! Game changer when I am traveling alone and need to have quick access to my phone. The pants wash and wear well. I ordered a medium. The brand has become a new favorite of mine, and this striped shirt was something I wore on repeat.

Cadence Capsules and Parcel

At the start of last year, I discovered Cadence capsules. There was a limited-edition pink set that became an instant favorite among blog readers. Cadence capsules have been something I have gifted on repeat throughout 2025. Especially for friends who are on the go like me. The capsules come in a variety of colors and sizes, so you can customize them for your needs. They are magnetic too, keeping them all together, neatly and organized. My husband stole a few of my capsules, and I got him his own set to travel with.

The parcels are great too and come in a variety of sizes. Keep your items organized when you travel: keys, lip balm, and sunglasses. The medium-sized one is TSA-friendly.

My New Old Desk

My new old desk was a Facebook Marketplace discovery and comes with a beautiful story.

Dental Floss

This may sound strange that a specific dental floss was a favorite thing, but after you try it. You may agree! My dental hygienist suggested it, and now I can’t live without it. I buy it in three-packs and always have one ready in my bathroom and my travel bag.

Ghia Non Alcoholic Drinks

ghia non alcoholic beverage

Ghia was a discovery while eating at a local pizza place in Chicago. I ordered a non-alcoholic Ginger drink and loved it. Ghia offers carbinated alcohol free drinks in a variety of flavors. I keep my fridge stocked with them and enjoy one over ice at least once a week. They are low sugar too! Try their Apéritif and add your own bubbles.

The flavors I enjoy are the ginger, lime, salt, sumac, and chili. My sister was not a fan, and it is an acquired taste. I think it is worth trying if you are sober or sober curious.

Evolve Together Deodorant

I discovered Evolve Together thanks to ShopMy. The brand reached out to gift some of their deodorant. I have been hooked ever since. The packaging is paper, not plastic; the ingredients are clean; and they have a focus on the environment. I have now fallen in love with their soaps and lotions too. My favorite scent is Taoromina, but I truly love them all!

Breville Coffee Maker

My husband I are serious about our coffee and we both prefer it a specific way. I gifted him a GE coffee maker that he can brew from his phone, and he loves it! He tells everyone about it. He is all about the drip coffee and multiple cups. I prefer a flat white, two shots of espresso, and milk. My Breville was an investment, and I am so happy I finally purchased it after talking about it for years. My specific model lets you automatically measure your grinds (you get a green light), tamp, and brew in just a few steps. Very little maintenance and clean up.

There are other very pretty, expensive models that are more tech-focused, but we didn’t love their look.

Nespresso Frother

The one feature I didn’t love from our Breville was the milk frother. My brother-in-law got me a Nespresso Frother as a gift, and it does hot and cold milk. Come spring and summer, when we want an iced coffee, we can froth cold milk. It works for Matcha too! I add my matcha, milk, and froth.

Favorite Foods of 2025

Cooking at home has always been a priority. I have slowly learned to enjoy cooking fish, and we buy from a local fish market in Chicago.

String cheese is my go-to snack. For road trips, post gym protein, or to curb hunger. Our fridge drawer always has a good supply.

Maybe the strangest favorite food of mine was watermelon radishes. I love the taste of regular radishes, but I enjoy the spiciness of a watermelon radish. Researching the health benefits of fruits and vegetables is something I am known for, and once I looked up the health benefits of watermelon radishes, I incorporated them into my daily salads as often as I can find them at the grocery store. If you don’t like the peppery taste, you can soak them in ice water ahead of eating.

Do you have a favorite discovery of 2025 you are bringing into the new year?
