Links I Love Week 27: Year 2026

carette summer Paris

I hope you are enjoying your 4th of July holiday weekend. It felt very strange with the 4th falling on Saturday, and the 3rd was a summer Friday. I worked up until the very last minute. My husband and I have traditionally traveled over the holiday weekend. This time around, we are extending it for some family time in Greece. A trip to Greece has been on my bucket list since before I turned thirty, and here we are, over a decade later, and I am finally making it happen. I have traveled to Paris frequently enough that I have a routine down, and this all feels very new and different.

July 7th, the blog turns 10! I have been jotting down notes and thoughts over the past couple of weeks and plan on sharing a post with you this week.

Showing up this week with links I love was important to me. Not everyone has the same schedule and can take vacation time this week, so it is business as usual for Sunday links. I will be working until we board to make sure this gets published. There is no guarantee that Wi-Fi will work from the air. So let’s do this!

  1. “How to eat out without spending a fortune” — I read the interesting NPR article. On your trips to Paris, have you used “The Fork” app? Great way to have an excellent meal at up to 50% off based on time of your reservation. Perfect for Americans who tend to eat an hour or two earlier than Parisians. We typically use The Fork at least two or three times during our stays in Paris. Enjoy your trip to Greece, Be safe.

    • Thank you, Fred! Yes, I love “The Fork” app, and it is helpful. Glad to hear you are enjoying it and find it useful while you travel. I appreciate the tips and feedback.
