Paris : Where to Stay in Paris, Hotel Powers

Hotel Powers Paris Hotel

Located in the 8th arrondissement just steps from the Champs-Elysèe sits the intimate 50 room boutique hotel. The hotel was transformed from a private town house into a hotel in the early 20’s and it has still kept the beauty and unique details. From crown moulding details, classic Parisian staircases, and gold accents everywhere you look.

The location of the hotel can’t be beat with a 10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower or Grand Palais, an 12 minute walk to the Louvre or 15 minutes to St Germain de Près. But its not just the location we love! If you are lucky enough to get a room with a terrace or city view you will be greeted with a beautiful view of the city. During my stay at Hotel Powers I had a view of the Eiffel Tower and loved watching it sparkle at night from my room.

I absolutely loved the character and charm of the breakfast room filled with crown molding and gold mirrors. But nothing beats taking breakfast in your room while still wearing your bathrobe. Can you blame me?

Every attention to detail from the staff to the hot coffee were all suburb. I can’t wait to wake up at Hotel Powers in Paris again soon. The morning light from the balcony is just magical!

For where to eat in the area: I love Relais Entrecôte for steak frites. Its the only thing they serve on the menu but they do it well. They don’t take reservations but if you arrive early there isn’t a terrible wait. Check with the hotel staff on times of seatings for the restaurant so you know when best to arrive. Also Chez Andre just across the street is fantastic. You will feel like you stepped into a movie set. The lunch time crowd is busy during the week you won’t feel a loss for people watching and it will be less touristy than Relais Entrecôte. If you are visiting in the colder months don’t miss out on the oysters and french onion soup!
