Paris : Le Meurice with Autumn Views

While in Paris, I was invited by my colleague at Grand Luxury to visit Le Meurice. We sat in the tea room located in the center of the hotel. The ceilings are massive and the decor is stunning. I kept the photo taking to a minimum while we were dining since I didn’t want to disturb the other patrons. But I did snap a few of our pastries. The pastry chef Cédric Grolet was awarded best pastry chef in 2015 and I now know why. His pastries are unreal!

We had a tough time narrowing down our decisions so we decided to split the Paris Brest and the lemon/mint eclair. When our pastries arrived they surprised us with two additional ones, an almond flavored pastry in the shape of a pear and a coffee tarte.

The Paris Brest was the perfect combination of chocolate hazelnut and salty. The other stand out dessert that I literally can’t stop thinking about is the lemon/mint eclair. The flavors literally jumped off my palate and I secretly wish we hadn’t shared this one!

After our bellies were full with sugar I was given a quick tour around the hotel. I got a little sneak peek at the Prestige Suite. It was towards the end of the day and it was completely pouring but I poked my head outside on the terrace for the most amazing views of The Tuilieries and beyond.

With views like this, I don’t know if I would leave the room… Okay, maybe just when it’s raining but you are literally right in the middle of Paris. You couldn’t ask for a better location to explore Paris. I can’t wait to visit again in the again in the Spring.
