Good morning and happy Sunday! Happy Father’s Da Good morning and happy Sunday! Happy Father’s Day to all the special people in your life. ❤️

Henri and I have been having a quiet weekend at home. The heat wave finally let up for some cooler weather. I needed a little down time after the craziness of last week with Wells Street.

I am prepping for another trip, this time with my family. I will share more on that later this week.

Grab your coffee and croissants 🥐 and join me for links I love.

Some of my favorites include:
1. The summer of the “going out book”
2. Built to last succeeds in Paris
3. Airport ✈️ apps you need to download before your next flight
4. @sezane archives are here. They only offer these twice a year.
5. How to find friend as an adult

A common question over the weekend was, "What's yo A common question over the weekend was, "What's your story?" Everyone was interested in how I got started. The short version is, that I was laid off in 2008. I couldn't find a job so I started working as a nanny to pay my rent and car. I discovered Etsy in 2009 and decided I would follow my dream of becoming a photographer. I didn't know what would be my subject focus but after a photo of Paris got more hits in my shop than anything else, I decided I should give it a shot.

I took airline miles from my previous job and babysitting money and booked a trip to Paris in the spring of 2010. I got lost on the streets of Paris and photographed the city from morning until night. When I returned to Chicago, I put it on Etsy and things started to take off. By the next year, I was a full-time photographer selling my work on Etsy.

In 2013, I packed up my Chicago apartment and moved to Paris for three months. Three months turned into two years of living a nomadic life moving back and forth to Paris. After returning to Chicago, I wanted a way to cure my homesickness for Paris and created the blog Everyday Parisian.

The blog has been an amazing way to connect with Francophiles around the world and not only share my love of Paris but help make their trip the best through personal recommendations. ❤️

You can read the full story of how I landed my dream job on the blog.

I’m back in my favorite city for the weekend. 🇫🇷 My fiancé surprised me with last minute tickets. It was up to me to find accommodations and where to eat on one of the busiest weekends. Mission accomplished! 🥳

Not only did I find one new great hotel but two! Also, I am slowly warming up to the Left Bank. I promise to share where we stayed, ate/drank, and what to pack for late spring/summer soon! I will be back in Chicago this week. I am spending the rest of my time soaking up the sunshine and exploring Paris with my fiancé.

Since it is Sunday, links I love ❤️ are up!
